Cup final tickets..

If a club takes 10 thousand to semi they should get the same for final
You have 40 thousand Celtic fans that have paid money to go to semi so 20 thousand paying customers miss out and 7 thousand sheep couldn’t be arsed paying money going to semi get to go to final is shit
(At the very most give them extra 1000 but not 7000)
Sfa are a fucking joke
A don’t mind if clubs have small crowds during tournament but what they take to semi should be same as final

And each sheepie fan can buy up to 4 tickets each. So 4 fans could fill a mini-bus of hangers-on who will just be heading down for the craic cos they like the Dons, as opposed to people who put their money in every week.

As a widen Tim myself, I am not criticising the fans themselves, but the people running the game should have at least have given a bit more to the much bigger support who go week in week out.

It does make it a better spectacle and atmosphere if there is a large number of both sets of fans present for these types of big games. But there will be real fans who will miss out for part-timers like myself, which isn't fair. Good luck to everyone on here - I hope you get all of the tickets you need.

If a club can sell 50% of tickets then they should be given the option of doing so. What the SFA should do is insist on the tickets being sold by section, starting behind the goal, working round to the North Stand, and the team be given until one week before the final to sell them. Any sections they can't sell should then be offered to the other team to buy.
The flaw with guaranteeing Aberdeen 20k tickets is they will start selling from the North Stand round to the West Stand and so any unsold tickets will be in an area where they can't be resold to Celtic supporters. Empty seats at a Cup Final should be an absolute no-no.
I realise the SFA's interest is money, hence why Aberdeen are guaranteeing the sale of the 20k tickets whether they sell them or not, and no thought is given to insisting that they should be sold by section in order to ensure a full house.
Aberdeen did sell 20k the last Scottish Cup Final they played in against us in 2017 so you would imagine they will do so again.

They had chance to sell 50percent in semi but didn’t so I don’t see why a Celtic fan that’s paid cash to go to semi should miss out for Aberdeen fan that never went to semi (Aberdeen has the fan base they took over 40 thousand for final at parkhead)
Maybe give them extra 1000 but 7000 extra is a joke
If Celtic took just 50 percent to every game at Hampden then the sfa would lose a fortune with the amount of empty seats in other end
Hibs hearts Aberdeen Dundee united could fill Hampden alone but they don’t bother arse going until it’s a final

Disagree. A national cup final should start from the basis of a 50/50 split of tickets but done in a way that any unsold tickets by one team can go to the other team.
How many of those who bought tickets for the semi final v St Johnstone didn't bother buying tickets for or bought tickets and didn't bother turning up for Killie/Raith/Hibs cup ties at CP? We ended up with 10k more tickets in the semi than we would normally have been allocated.
Ticket distribution in general needs a serious rethink, whether that be empty seats at grounds when there are plenty of people wanting to attend (the majority of our away games) or the closed shop that is away ticket distribution by Celtic and the 7k or so that do not go to either of any cup final teams.

You'll probably know better than me how it works, but I'd assume they start selling from the North section first and work round so that it looks better on the tv? This way they can show viewers full stands and it looks like a fair even split, as any unsold seats will mostly be out of view of the camera.

My mate is a ST holder who goes to as many games as possible. He is concerned that he will miss the final. And yet he received an email from Aberdeen offering him the chance to buy 2 tickets in the Aberdeen end even though it was many years ago when he registered with AFC for a game up here and hasn't used it for a long long time.

There are 4 tiers of AFC supporters, the top 3 tiers can each buy 4 tickets each (3 of them can be for absolutely any Tom, Dick & Harry that don't need to go to any matches) and he was in the 4th tier - so never attending an Aberdeen game in years makes him qualified to buy 2 tickets! He is swithering about buying from AFC just in case, but he knows he'd shout out about the mutton molesters very quickly or grassed up by someone who knew his allegiances and he'd be chucked out very quickly or given a hiding.

A do get your post and what your saying but I just think a Celtic fan who paid for semi can’t go while an Aberdeen that didn’t bother his arse for semi can go …if Celtic just took 23 thousand to semi then sfa would have lost out on over 13 thousand ticket cash
A totally get smaller teams will have extra fans going to a final than a normal game and that’s fine giving them some extra but 7 thousand is a piss take (if they filled allocation for semi I wouldn’t have a problem with split) our crowds for killie raith and hibs was much higher than the Aberdeen crowds for home ties when they never had one home sell out (don’t think home ties matter tho)

I’ve nothing against fans that can’t make games and it doesn’t make you less of a fan but when it comes to a final then the paying customers that goes to games should have more rights for a ticket than a fan that follows his club on his fone all season (especially when it’s easy to get tickets for his clubs games)
I won’t be home for it anyway so doesn’t affect me but it will affect thousands of our fans and only because some Aberdeen fans have decided to go to first game of season on the last game of season

I think they start selling for all sections at the same time

Just found out that neither me or wee Shades got tickets for the final 😡 😡.

Ftsfa
Shocking mate hope you end up getting tickets pal
7 thousand sheep that never paid to go to semi take priority of fans that paid money for semi and previous rounds
Fuck the SFA and any sheep that are going to first game of season on the last day of the season

Ticket allocation for cup finals have always pissed me off there is always fans who have been to every game home and away miss out. And there will be plenty of Celtic fans in the corporate section attending their first game of the season at the final 😡

Agreed mate and if Aberdeen took up semi allocation I wouldn’t moan but taking 13thousand to semi doesn’t justify getting 20 for final
Sfa are quick for us to buy tickets when they struggle to sell out stadium for semis etc then first opportunity to fuck us over they do it
Aye pisses me off too when Roy Keane and westlife etc show up for big games and you never see them on a cold January against Dundee on a Wednesday night
