Danny Rose bringing the smiles with the truth

Danny Rose: I don't give a f*** about the nation's morale via @Onefootball. Read it here:

Read this article just this morning and though it brought a smile to my face it also represents a problem I posted about the other day , in so much that ultimately it is the players who have the power to bring back football or not. Aguero explained why players are scared of returning ( the same reasons everyone else has) and now Danny Rose has come out , rather less eloquently than Sergio but the point is the same. These guys make astronomical amounts of money that virtually no one can tell them what do. Truth be told, in this situation the players shouldn't be asked to return, Rose hasnt even been tested yet. To ask him to return untested and sacrificing the self -isolation that he and many have gone through is ridiculous.

Why should they really Ray? After weeks of s-i they are being asked to forget about that and help give the nations moral a lift. Hmm nations moral v personal and family safety? No argument regardless if they are paid a pittance or the gross amounts they do recieve. Actually the money they are getting makes the nations moral sick.

The PM has stated that if you can't work from home you should now return to work and follow social distancing. I assume this catch all statement includes footballers?
I'm sure the govt are desperate to receive the vast amount of tax footballers pay on their indecent salaries. The fact is that football returning would raise the morale of the public, however imo starting to rebuild the shattered economy will be foremost in the govts post lockdown priorities

Why should he be tested? I go to work every day and no one thinks I should be tested. This isn't going away and the self-isolation is only to slow down the amount of infected folk needing NHS intervention all at the same time.

I totally agree with that it should be NHS, care workers, care home workers and the likes (frontline workers) like the cashiers and security workers, factory workers who are putting their lives at risk everytime they go to work who should be tested first, footballers are far down the list on who should be tested imo. So I'm not advocating for footballers or any other type of sports professionals inot on the frontline to be tested ahead of anyone. The opposite in fact. I disagree 100% with the fact that just because the employers of footballers are knee deep in cash that somehow gets a cue jump. Unfortunately we know that this has happened as so many footballers have been tested because the club owners have paid for the test. I dont think Rose was implying he should be tested before the aforementioned frontline workers. I think that he was drawing attention to the fact that this rush to get project restart up and running hasn't been thought through properly and if you want people to return to the workplace, test them. Test them in the manner that the WHO recommended alas I think were closer to putting a man on Mars before meeting the WHO requirements on testing.

If Rose and the likes employers have the means to test and can satisfy the Goverments that their health and safety issues pass the mustar then the players need to return for they are contracted to an employer who is fufilling his role which is to provide a safe environment.

The unions informed employees recently of the right to invoke rule 44 of the health and safety act that if they feel their employer has not satisfied the safety checks they cannot be forced to return until the checks are assured, so if the checks are checked and passed fit and reasonable as would be expected, Rose and the likes regardless of their fears will be returning or their contracts can legally be terminated.

If our leaders 😂 are telling us if you can stay at home,if you can't make sure your protected with face masks and gloves.
But what they haven't said is is if you catch it your on your own isolate for 2 weeks then get in touch with the necessary NHS advice so basically your putting your on life on the line for their sake??
And if the football starts anywhere if one footballer contacts Covid or anything worse they can sue all relevant authorities.
If 1 life is lost because of this all parties concerned should hand themselves to the police for causing death with intent to make money before human life and all should rot in a cell till there dying day.

At what cost do all authority care about people's lives before there own agendas and personal gain at the cost of all people's lives before there own.
Greed before the human sacrifice of good decent folk so that the powers that be can sit in their ivory towers while the rest risk their lives to provide themselves with a living while the power's that be count there dosh.
Despicable Horrendous Poisonous Insincere Inhumane Evil Greedy Rats that should get back to the gutter where they belong.

As true as that is I dont see how these employers can enforce it , especially in the uk where death rates haven't even hit the' curve ' yet and still return high death rates daily, despite Boris claims to the contrary. The scientific community are saying that we should brace for a 2nd wave when populations re-emerge from S-I. Also we know that todays football contracts are barely worth the paper they're written on. UEFA could say that they have met the criteria for a safe return BCD for instance. The PFA might intervene and say if it's so safe then why BCD? Theyre more powerful than ever, what's app captains group etc. All hypothetical of course but players who've already made their fortune from the game (wont be bullied )😷😛into an early return, I think theres going to be a lot more to it than just UEFA or the Bundesliga simply saying "it's now safe" these guys ( not all but many) as we know see their game as no more than a job , an income , a very good one at that ) interesting times ahead lots of fingers in a big pie.

Big money owners, and their cohorts, want it started, idiots who don't care about others health and welfare, want it started
Players like Danny Rose, in spite of how much they are paid, they negotiated a contract & have a point, this pandemic is far from over, and until it's under control, we all have to do what we can, to stay safe
Family & friends come before any sport, imho
People, as usual blame 'overpaid' players, same way people start to turn on others in the workforce, during times of crisis, those in power want that, it's typical of the way these things go
People lose sight of who's actually at fault
Put clowns in charge, get a circus

Couldn't agree more , the cost you mention is today's cost else they wouldn't be rushing to get BCD up and running. I have sympathy for the players but not for the greedy clubs and governing bodies especially, I'd love nothing more than to see them pay back monies theyve already spent . Dont get me wrong I dont want to see clubs go to the wall but having been willing participants in the telly money scramble free for all,and instead of investing as clubs such as Celtic and Ajax have done with their hard earned cash in comparison its difficult to feel sorry for them when you remember the snobbery aimed towards the Scottish football game from England's clubs and its ex and current players . If we thought that bullying was meant to be a part of sevcos dossier , I can see bullying on a bigger scale approaching. Even though I'm usually a happy go lucky guy 😷😎
