Defensive 3rd Possession

This is a tricky one because our best passing defender, KT, tends to play higher risk balls moving forward.

If teams choose not to press, then the stats can easily be manipulated while the defence plays along the line unchallenged. It's the ability to take the ball out of defence that requires the question.

Benkovic can carry the ball, but DB can't control a bag of cement and Lustig can only kick the ball the way he's facing. Simunovic has all the attributes, but the attention span of a walnut and our most gifted footballing defender is Ajer, but he plays high-risk passes that depend on the ball receiver having the necessary talent to deal with it.

Bring back VVD, if the huns can pay £60k a week for DeFenian, then surely we can pay £150mill and £200k per/week for VVD.

Assessing the winning and losing of possession in the defensive 3rd of the pitch. Who is safe as houses and who gives us the heebie jeebies!

=============================

Before I read the article, let's ask the oracle...

Answer one, safe as houses?... 'Benkovic' booms a genie's voice.

Then it exploded seconds after flashing up an image of Dedryck on his arse. So answer to the second poser is a mystery....
