Gavin Newlands, snp,states DUP influence on brexit ,not acceptable,when the views of the Scottish and Welsh assembles are ignored!!!the DUP state the integrity of the union is paramount,?says it all ,The snp are right, sitting parliaments here and Wales, no say ,when a party of10 ,with no government in NI,dictate to the rest of us , funny ,when you see the voting in the past few weeks,just how did the DUP back the government,!!!!hh
 
Its a right mess.

The brits are uncomfortable putting up a blockade border yet if they don’t then europe has an open door to get into the uk via ireland.

Thats what they sold brexit to the bigots on.

The panic over immigration.

Right fkn mess all round.

Not to mention the pensions will be fkd and our economy may take 10-20 years to recover.

Hope when all the idiots are even more skint they think long n hard over what they’ve done.
 
No doubt that some if not many voted because they saw their towns and cities become multi national, saw or imagined themselves or their children or grandchildren being disadvantaged because of it. Less school places more waiting for NHS and feeling threatened etc, all plausible if not reasonable concerns and actual experience for some.

Regardless of the truth and reality of the actual impact of recent years since 2004 large scale economic immigration, be that overall negative or positive for any individual.

Those who voted assuming that immigration into Britain would stop once they left the EU, do not understand the conservative party who they put faith in :), or the likes of gobshyte Farage who is so European when ever it suits and pays!

Britain when it leaves will have less Poles and Lithuanians and every other European arriving, but immigrants will still be coming, just from different parts of the world, Asia and Africa.
If only because many a Business on your shared Island and especially conservative business see immigrants = cheap unquestioning less demanding labour, more profits for less outlay and concerns.

Recent immigration stats are just the start of the reality check for the 20th century minds, who have been encouraged to daydream its all the EU's fault.

Every vox pop on the news always has some union jack waving middle Englander on saying it's about keeping 'Britain' Britain as if that doesn't make them racist. Our economy would collapse if we didn't have immigrants doing the jobs that many on this island just won't do.

I hope the brexiteers will be happy that they've made such a cock-up of the future of this country, aided and abetted by the useless feckers in Parliament.

Breaking away from an English Parliament and English xenophobia is paramount now for Scotland.
 
i had to take my old fella to A & E, early hours sat morning ,in total he was seen by 4 health officials /Doctors/nurse /consultant

All from different countrys ,all exceptional people doing a great job

We as a country should be proud these people chose our shores to settle on

Little England is now just waking up to how much money the dup have screwed them out of ,watch the worm turn after brexit

When I had to get treatment for heart attack 7 years ago,the consutant/ surgeons where European/ Indian , very talented people, I have now pledged time to volunteer work in nhs,my thanks to them !!hh
 
We have a declining population in Scotland. With an increasing elderly population a declining population has the potential to be a complete disaster. Immigrants are vital for our future whether the Brexiteers like or not.

Our economy would collapse as well without immigrants. One of the interesting things about the idiotic wall Trump wants to put up at the southern border is that it would not allow many of the seasonal workers who come across the border to pick crops. If you ask a farmer in the Central Valley of California -- where there are so many farms it essentially feeds the nation, if not part of the world as well -- they will tell you that they want these folks to come in to do the labour because no one here will do it, whether because it is "beneath them" or because the work's too hard (or possibly both).

There are always a lot of foreign seasonal workers at crop picking time in the south of England as well as other areas in the country and they are badly needed as the work appears to be too backbreaking, especially for the snowflake generation who are happy for mummy and daddy or the tax payers to fund them.

Same here you only need to travel up to perth most fruit farms are 90-100% hard grafting foreigners ,while the wank chariot generation wouldn't be arsed doing they types of jobs

It surprised me when i lived in the states the amount of folk who thought some jobs were only for immigrants , glad i was an alien illegal for some time
