He always came across as a nice guy. Obviously a nerd but his love of football shone through. If truth be told, personally I always thought he was a bit of a haver and so never liked his commentary, but liked the guy. Sending best wishes to his family and loved ones. Rest in peace.

I always liked Motty for his enthusiasm and love of the game but I'd get pissed off at his excitement when Engurland were playing.
