When I see how much it costs to buy a genuinely world class player €120 million. It shows just how ridiculous the prices being paid for quite good players in England has become. Harry McGuire £80 -90 million? Is ridiculous hes a good player but no vvd no way. Saha to arsenal £90 million for a player who is undoubtedly a great player but fluffed his big money move to man Utd in the past so no guarantees the same might hapoen at arsenal who regardless of what people say are still a major force in European and world football. I'd be for govt intervention on the transfer and wages fees in today's market. Cap this nonsense it's all about making the champions league a closed shop to clubs from the big 5 leagues who are financially untouchable. Not so on the park though as ajax showed but even then it's not as though ajax didn't spend bucket loads of cash either. Something has to be done in losing faith in my beloved game. You see the fa cup final and at the start of the second half the VIPs are still not in their seat even into the 55th minute why are they even there? fek the lot of them ruining our game

they probably don't pay any tax towards these heroes like the Ethically challenged ones over at hearsay fc
True , the Italian fa and govt have just introd a massive tax cut for footballers similar to what the Spanish did before so the country's league can attract better quality players. Every time I see a new jaw dropping ridiculous figure for a player and think it can't get any worse. It does though and the Italians are facilitating it even further.

None of these ‘super stars’ are worth this sort of pay ,goes for all sports ,used to be you played for the love of the game ,can remember well the AAA, years ago banned kids from getting sweets etc as prizes, they where classed as professional, bloody stupid ,now it is everyone for themselves ,these are now ‘jobs’it’s the sponsors that are behind all this ,re C/L farce ,?dont know maybe it’s me out of touch with things,I know that I am as important as these sports people ,as you probably are also ,in the jobs we do ,but with feck all in remuneration as to these people ,that’s my rant for the day ,hh

The games fd ,but then we knew that ,it's about to become worse regarding purchasing players from the english markets 80-90 m for maguire a joke but it's gonna get funnier

The sky payments clubs get now Massive amounts are spent now on youth investment .

in deveopment and structured from 7yr olds upwards they are pumping millions into their academys and are all looking for returns on this long term cattle market approach

Players in development teams with little chance of ever making first team football .then prices will start a £1m + these will be the bargain basement buys with no experience for some clubs in not to distant future

Look at kent transfermarket price £1.58m only first team experience sevco

Clubs not investing in their academys, not scouting new markets better get their house on order , or live within their means .

The one that gets me is the betting, when the fun stops, stop, is that the same for a junkie loving the high or the alcholic having a ball and been the centre of attention when pished, good luck with that one, as in IMO none of the three addictions are great fun.

same with anything thats addictive

I used to have good intentions with beer, ill have 4 maybe 5 then up the road, 3 days later id be in some random house heading down the off sales early in morning for just a few cans more

Even when the fun stops the mind can often just say one more next one will get the fun times rolling again.

I remember around time they lost smoking revenues through large drive to get people quit, they changed the laws on gambling big time. Im sure you can drink at the tables in casino these days. They hit the gamblers while offsetting lost cigarette revenues imo

1 is too many for lots of people and 10000 is still no enough.

I was quite lucky in that as long as I just say no to 1 it's easy. Was harder when I was still into my Friday night bevvy

But I know if I have 1 I will be back square one.
never been into gambling thankfully but I imagine its same part of brain it triggers
