TWO men have been charged with an alleged hate crime against a Celtic player after a video emerged on social media.

Police have not named the player in question but it is understood the alleged abuse was directed at the Hoops' Japanese forward Kyogo Furuhashi.

It was confirmed today that two men, aged 30 and 26, have been arrested and charged in connection with the video.
They were released on an undertaking and the force said they would both appear in Hamilton Sheriff Court at a later date.
