It's all just yet more insidious spin by unionists to try and reinforce the idea that Scotland is uniquely incapable of running it's own affairs BB.

They've been shitting bricks ever since the recent polls came out putting YES for Independence at 54%. This shrieking and pearl clutching by the unionists has nothing to do with looking out for the best interests of pupils and has everything to do with those poll results. They desperately need an SNP failing narrative to take hold and this was a perfect opportunity.

The whole exam fiasco happened across the entire UK yet only one government are being lambasted for it. Truth is there are a few things that ScotGov and the SNP could rightly be criticised for just now but spin around issues like this plays to a larger audience which is the whole point.

Sturgeon has announced today that all students whose grades have dropped will be reinstated at the higher level. Also, anyone's whose grades went up will remain. New certs will be reissued. Also, no university or college bound student will miss out due to being "crowded out" either.

Decisive and speedy intervention when required, and a full apology to affected pupils.

Just a thought ,my neighbour is assistant head at a high school in Ayrshire,she along with other teachers have been marking papers ,unfortunately she tells that many parents are unhappy ,thinking the results given by her teachers are not HIGH enough ,she says ,her inbox is full to the brim with parents demanding their kids be upgraded ,she says ,they have in all honesty ,given as accurate marks based on their work ,only saying that there is two sides to this ,many students no doubt should be upgraded,but !!!!! Would not like to be a teacher ,hh

Well looks as if it's going tae be sorted out, but this is a wake up call for Scotland education, the SQA needs a management overhaul from top tae bottom. ASAP
