If not Lenny then who?

I cant believe you defend PL , blind faith, im not in the business of being criical, im in the business of being real. i won't choose a best grandchild, lo siento

There you go..... I told you I knew bugger all.... is it not time a top club had a woman manager?????????only joking...... but who knows eh
that's not true greenghirl, both options are reasonable, if not popular or likely candidates. Both fit the category you thought important part of the job responsibility.

I should add that neither of them make me excited since both have little experience playing champion winning football.

But then again some of the highly favoured options have NOT those attributes to boast either, until Rodgers came he wasn't exactly a champion manager; he did at least have decent record at a very strong level of football.

Decent record at high level

Moyes - don't fancy him
Lennon- My favourite
Rose - Don't think he would suit Scotland and especially don't think think he would thrive under intensity of Glasgow
Martinez - see Rose
Bilic- Probably the only foreign coach that would be interested that im aware might fancy it. But could he culturally handle it. I think he could. He's an option I would not mind.
Martin oniel- doubt he would want it without massive operation costs and warchest, loved dude till he left under potentially false reasonings. but I would accept him.
Strachan- not for me even if he wanted it.

Decent record managing but unknown at higher levels

Clarke- decent option
Keane- Mental case, could work but I doubt it
Billy reid- sure he's hun
Alex neil- no idea if he could hack it?
jack ross- again doubt he could hack it at this stage in career
Paul Lambert- could be decent choice?
Malky Mackay- think he ruined his career with the racist stuff
Stubbs - don't fancy him
Owen Coyle- not impressed me since his bolton days

hit and miss/poor record

Larsson- love guy but don't fancy him as manager
Jackie McNamara- no idea what he does these days but still don't think he could cope with job, love guy though
Aitken - love dude but don't fancy him
Peter grant- love dude but don't fancy him

I genuinely think Lennon would be best option. Clarke I don't think wants gig for numerous reasons, if he leaves killie I think its to English football.

Mcinnes is probably best manager in Scotland not mentioned- hun and I really don't think he could hack it even if he was interested or viable.

don't think any top top managers would want it without unreasonable funding.

So would either mean going with manager who has mediocre pedigree or up coming dude who really wants gig elsewhere with the big bucks in big leagues.

Whoever gets job needs to be thick skinned and capable of motivating players to play in all crappy weathers against less than glamorous clubs who specialise in hammer throwing.

Again I think Lennon ticks most boxes for me.

Knows what's expected
thick skinned
decent eye for talent
loves club
loves game
loves game here
good value added
is winner
bond with fans
bond with core of team
can handle weather
has decent record if not spectacular
has decent giant killer tactics
has decent if not spectacular record previously at celtic
more mature
had some experience with smaller clubs
now understands financial side better
huns hate him

I am clearly on record for Benitez.
If Lennon was going to get the job he would, frankly should, have stamped his style on the current squad. This he has not done. Or if he has it's dreadful.
I'm sorry but he has done nothing to show me he can do it. In fact, look into your soul here, I just want this over the line, now or sooner!
I am Celtic all my life and I fear where we are.
Get it done Celtic
HH
too expensive and doubt he would want gig without massive op costs and warchest

I think it will be Lenny all day long unless of course we don’t do the treble. I think the main worry is will whoever get the job he backed. Because the best manager in the world cannot achieve anything if he isn’t given resources.

If the manager is backed then we have a chance to move up a notch. Anyone coming in would want guaranteed backing. My fear with Lenny is that he wouldn’t make those demands and would be happy with whatever was made available.

My money is all on Lenny getting the job. Wether that will be the answer remains to be seen. The form of the team since he came in has been poor. He needs to sort that. And the sorting needs to happen next week.
hasn't been pretty to watch but I don't think form been poor

???

I’ll say straight off that I am no expert on football management I leave that to those that know more about the subject. I do love Lenny and I’ve always thought that a Celtic man would be the best bet. Someone who knows the history the ethos behind it and was himself a supporter. After Brendongate I may be wrong of course. Would Larsson not be a possibility or Owen Coyle he’s a Celtic fan. And now I’ve proved I know nothing about it folks.HH
Mind Coyle was in the frame before, thank fuck it didnt happen .
