Almost 24 hours after our latest defeat of the HUNS we have had time to let the euphoria die down a little assess what actually happened yesterday and revel in their agony and despair and it still feels as amazing as it did at the final whistle

In 39 months since the HUNS made it into the Top Flight of Scottish football for the 1st time in their 4 year history we"ve played them 17 times in all domestic competitions scoring 37 goals and conceeding 10 Winning 13 games drawing 2 and losing 2 (1 of which was a dead rubber after we"d won our 8th successive title)

In that time they"be used 4 different managers while we"ve used 2

Despite all of our dominance they keep telling us that they're coming and that they're going for 55 and expect us to be concerned

There surely must come a point that they realise that they just aren't"t good enough don't have the bottle and despite paying millions they don"t have on overpriced players may never have especially when it matters

Let's be totally honest and objective about yesterday's result It was MASSIVE!!!!

In as much as they played us off the park for the vast percentage of the game they couldn't hurt us (not unless you include naughty tackles)

If that was their best effort and I have no reason to believe that it wasn't"t then I truly believe that we have NOTHING to fear from them and a QUADRUPLE TREBLE might well be celebrated next May

If their £50 million striker can't score against us from a penalty let alone from 2 3 or 4 yards out over various matches and their £7 million signing from Liverpool goes AWOL then who exactly is trying to kid who?

Since Gerrard had arrived to oversee the 'Ibrox Revolution' they have improved somewhat but not to an expected standard considering the players that they have brought in and how much wages these guys are taking

In the 4 victories that we have had over them since the Slippy One has arrived on the scene there has been nothing except deflection and smoke and mirrors excuses as to why they can"t compete with us

Whether it's the officials being incompetent (which they are but they are equally for both teams) or Scott Brown being a disgrace or VAR not being available surely their excuses must be running out

Rather than admit that their snarling cheating liberty taking striker is a dud with no bottle when it counts or that their manager has as much tactical nouse as someone devoid of any tactical nouse they are content to try and pull the wool over everyone"s eyes (their own support included) and buy themselves more time to try and reel us in

It's been said many times in the past 24 hours Surely Celtic cannot play as badly as that again and if that was the HUNS playing at their best and desperate to lift their 1st major trophy what do we have to fear?

We shouldn't be too blaze or dismissive of their efforts God loves triers after all but there must come a point when even the most dyed in the wool blue nosed bigot must realise that it"s back to the drawing board and that the clock is ticking until the Grim Reaper arrives and does to them what he did to their predecessors Then again Most if them are so fuckin" thick and so full of their own importance maybe not

Trooping off the team bus to Tina Turner blasting out "SIMPLY THE BEST kinda says it all

Good article BC !agree with all you say, wonder if slippy believes all the crap from smsm that they are catching up ,,certainly improved,no doubt ,!but to what extent ,some day they will beat us ,but probably when it don’t matter ,well except in the Scottish cup ! they will falter in the league !as long as we don’t drop many points 9 is coming, all their muttering about ,how unfair it was,the ref has to judge all incidents, and was correct re goal, many don’t understand the rules ,hh

What they lacked in skill they made up for by pressing us and pressing hard and high. We've had this issue in others games over the past season or two and allowing teams to run at us like that could be our downfall and needs addressing a.s.a.p. We should be the team causing problems like this to the opposition.
