I can see both sides of the argument. I didn't think McGinn was worth the money at the time, but everyone at that time was also claiming Christie wasn't Celtic class and was even suggesting to offer Christie to hibs as part of the deal. Look how that turned out. The rest of our midfielders, apart from McGregor, have been very inconsistent since, so in hindsight maybe McGinn was worth the asking price at the time??? In regards to the bayo offer, surely if Rodgers has identified him as a target, then you approach the club and inquire what the asking price is. Yet we offer a million less than what they're looking. Meanwhile fat chops lawell stands to pick up more in a fuckin bonus than has been offered for a badly needed striker. I wonder when Tory Pete goes to pick up his 2 million, if Desmond said, "ye know what Pete, I'm only gonna offer you 1 million", how would he feel?
The fuckin bottom line is, if we need the player, pay the fuckin price. Is he gonna wait til we lose the fuckin league to a shower of duds?

All rumours we have been linked with this window to date do not appear to have amounted to much if any out the box or active physical match attending scouting.
This Vakoun Bayo for example has been playing at low level to more seats than fans, has several youtube vids but from same source! stinks of self promotion or chancer agents, he was even promoting himself a few years back!

This fella looks like another possible prospect nothing more what so ever, looks less proven than our own prospect Mikey!

Just hope that those who do not think there is not quite enough of a trail of evidence to suggest that Congerton is a utter chancer and that others at Celtic may be more to blame, actually know a bit more than just the statement of there is no absolute proof Congerton is a chancer

Timothy Weah does look a real player, but no one at Celtic hardly spotted him , did they!

Congerton looks like a chancer, speaks like a chancer, has the cv of a chancer and has been concluded as a chancer at his previous club by their fans!
He has been at Celtic now for near 2 years! We have not even remained as strong let alone improved the squad.

Apart from Marvin Compper, a couple of not signed high fee players who many a club had and thousands of armchair fans had also spotted, some last minute panic loan signings that many a club could have signed if willing to pay the wages.

What has Congerton done for Celtic in those near two years?

Hope the many of us are wrong about this former semi-pro being a overpaid (we pay them not Lawell) chancer, who got lucky with wages in life because he and his crew managed to impress some computer-illiterate soccer bosses for some of the time!

Sincerely doubt it!

Sooner than later, the best thing Celtic can do is employ a proven scout who is independent of BR and PL.
Ideally one who provides a quarterly report that can be viewed historically by Celtic fans, once details are no longer top secret.
