That is shocking. Although I do wonder how that can be the case. Primary pupils from p1-5 get free school meals plus there are more food banks these days than I can ever remember.On the day the tax payers will be fleeced of millions to pay for a pantomime style state funeral it has been announced that there are record amounts of children being treated for malnutrition in Britain
I personally think all foodbanks should be shut, that's the government's job, not volunteers. If there were no food banks the government would have to take action. Instead when someone goes to make a benefits claim, the benefits people are directing people to food banks. If you work in the benefits systems and you see someone is struggling and needs help ,give them an emergency Giro.dont send them to food banks
