Would pay 7.5 million that’s what he’s worth
If he was Spanish we would pay it without question
If we expect proper fees for our players then Motherwell etc deserves the same too
Changed it to 7.5 rather than 10 as that’s what Motherwell are asking for
Knowing Celtic tho we will bid 3.5

I chose I don't know, simply because I haven't seen enough, either of, or from the boy to enable me to make some kind of evaluation. Oh I've read the speculation, I've read all that usual stuff, "keeping tabs on'..'monitoring'...'look likely to'....'may lose out?'.

I'm honestly not trying to duck out, or sit on the fence here: I just don't know.

So, what DO I know? Well, anywhere between 7-10 million is a helluva lot of sheckles to fork out for any Scottish club; even one with a healthy surplus of greenbacks, ( remember them ? ) like ourselves.

I also have to say I don't have any great confidence in our scouting system. Sure, we had something resembling a purple patch when we used the knowledge Ange brought with him from The Land of the Rising Sun. However, we most certainly have had our share of failures.

I'm just a Joe Bloggs who has no option but to trust/hope that those tasked with making such hugely important decisions can buck the trend, and get more right than wrong, in what is shaping to be a monumentally important transfer window.

You see, I want us to ignore all the daft talk about sevco getting it all wrong again with the takeover. I want us to plan as though we expect them to get it right.

Good judgement over hype wins it for me.

Do we see him as a first team starter and by we I mean Brendan.. If yes then circa 5/7 million is a decent price... Is he a squad player atm, then 3m plus add ons when and if he reaches so many first team games etc etc..

But one thing is for sure our midfield needs a bit more mobility about it and if The Reo collection of players leave then we will need more than that young Bhoy for the season ahead..

Apart fae that I'm not sure 😕😜

I'd go £6-£8mill on the kid. He's definitely got talent is worth the punt to find out if he can handle playing for us.
As with a lot if things in 'the friendliest country in the world', the guys been getting his head turned by incessant ABC's for last 18 months so expect him to go to the Engurlish championship or somewhere else.

Looks a good player, though

I don't care. Do the best possible deal we can to secure the best Scottish prospect. We can afford to buy him, but can we afford to miss out on him? I am not saying go sevco crazy in paying stupid amounts we cannot afford, but I'd take the Frimpong bonus, loan them Murray, Bonnar or Murray (or even Yang or Kwon) to sweeten the deal. Then we only have a small outplay that we paid for Holm or the like.

We should have bought him last summer for less than half it will cost this year and loaned him back to Motherwell.

Bring him in the summer so CalMac can mentor him to develop in a properly planned way. If things turn out right then a spine of him, McCardle, Kenny, Murray, Sinisalo and Bonnar will see us in a good place in a few years. Now 2 or 3 of them will probably fall by the wayside or leave us, but we can have a lot of potential there.

But the pressure on today's managers is not conducive to developing youngsters for the future as they will almost certainly be gone when they become really effective and managers do not have the luxury of dropping points so always want to play their established players.

How do you put a price on potential? People who know much more about football than me say that Miller is a real prospect. You have to go with what they say. Still no idea how you put a value on potential.
Who is he going to depose in the Celtic midfield? He will be competing with men who are or were established international players.
If we do sign him we should, like BB said, loan him back to Motherwell and get another full season under his belt. Be the main man at Motherwell or a squad player at Celtic.
I have heard a couple of people with Motherwell connections (Halliday and Paul Slane) say that Miller is minded to go abroad probably to Italy.
How much for Miller? Still don’t know!

If he's not interested in a move to Celtic then fk him need I say any more Richybhoy

If we were to sign Lennon Miller, and I don't think we will, then it won't be to loan back out for a season. If he was to sign it would be as a first team squad player for Celtic, playing around 30+ games for us. If we were to say to him we'll buy you then loan you out why would sign? He'll have offers to go straight into the first teams both down south and abroad. Whilst we are run by footballing dinosaurs there are many teams across the continent who are totally driven by data when it comes to signings, Lennon Miller is in the top 10% in Europe on all measurable matrices for 18 year old midfielders.
I doubt we've even approached Motherwell but we should do it now and if a deal can be done, do it. If not, wish the boy all the best and move on.

Yeah, I meant sign him last summer and loan him back to Motherwell then. He has now moved forward since then so I'd keep him to strengthen our first team. He has enough experience to improve us from day 1 but also should be a long term prospect as well.

I don't think this boy has any interest in signing for Celtic.
He and his Dad see him as a first team player who is already a Captain and now an international. I'm sure I saw his Dad Lee talking about looking at his future in a different League.

There is next to zero chance of our custodians paying anywhere near the money being quoted for a lad still very much unproven... it simply won't happen.
In my mind he is not even on our radar.

I don't doubt he is a good player ...how good I don't really know other than some highlights from his time at Motherwell.

Would be surprised if we sign this lad to be honest.

too high risk for me. Doesnt make first team better and im not sure he makes bench better either. Has potential if he gets lots of games and improves as result. But he is far from our first team imo and as such I wouldnt buy him because I dont think he will get much game time.

If he was up for sale at cheap punt price then maybe but I dont see him getting much meaningful gametime for a while.
