Great read Liam, enjoyed that immensely. I started secondary school at OLHS Motherwell in 1960 just a few years after big Billy had left. He had made such an impression on the PE teacher, Hughie Naughton, with both his schoolboys football history and signing for Celtic, that Hughie expected us all to be of that class of player.
With Bobby Murdoch and John Cushley also former pupils, not forgetting John Boyle of Chelsea, I’m afraid I must have been a huge disappointment to him.
