Working miracles at Motherwell, best coached team in the league, best defensive record, plays great football and it wouldn't take much for the current squad of players to buy into his way of playing (not that much different from BR at his best).

I'm not doing this again....100% they'll now appoint someone on the basis of who Daddy Despot is comfortable with and not someone who's best placed to take the club forward.

No doubt Nancy had to go and results will improve with him gone but I'm no gonnae sit here and kid myself that is going to be anything other than a Robbie Keane or Damian Duff type appointment.

Imho the best case scenario we can hope for is a return to the MON / Maloney set-up.

The important role for me is get in a proper Director of Football (or whatever name they want to give the position). I had previously suggested Martin O'Neill for this position in a short-term role to mentor someone, but not sure he wants that pressure at his age.

So I still think we should headhunt a successful DoF from Europe but as an alternative how about Ange?

That would suggest that MON has made certain demands, ie players, before he'll take interim role, or they are looking at someone else. Or maybe they just haven't a clue what they're doing
