common factor in those games huge whole in midfield exposed flanksThink you have it spot on there TET. Rangers aren't great but at the moment they're playing for each other.... we are in denial that things will return to normal. They won't if we continue playing like we have. I will stand by Lennon but if he was sacked tomorrow I wouldn't be shocked, or pissed off.
I think we have the players.... but in big games Lennon has more than not, got it wrong. Copenhagen, Cluj and Frenbarcoh spring to mind.... teams not too similar to Rangers.
As the Stranglers sing......something better change.
Tbh, Forrest hasn't exactly set the heather on fire this season so far. Christie has only shone in one or two games, Eddy has been injured anyway and Lenny like every other manager has to play with what he has. There are players out there that didn't play like they were Celtic class yesterday but they should be being managed a whole lot better. You are Neil Lennon, you are sitting in the house waiting on the phone going after each and every international, who's going to be injured, he knows forrest and Jullian are not going to play, that's OK I'll play Bitton or Elhamed, but before that the bombshell that Eddie has covid 19this is the biggest boot in the balls Neil can get cos he is the hunskelper supreme, then boom Christie is ruled out there's no way wee nikla is letting him play even though teirney is allowed to, bearing in mind she's already put a spanner in the works already, by cancelling 2 games for something the club had no control over, but that's another matter, anyway we're am I, what sort a preparation is this for the biggest game off the season so we are missing forrest Jullian Elhamed, Bitton, Christie and the main man eddie, just having him on creates a fear to the huns cos they know what he does to them, not exactly good preparation for the biggest game of the season but I still expected a wee bit more fight and effort from the ones who were picked
These games should be a showcase for the fringe players, Shammy. As you state - it's how you are managed and applied that often makes the difference.Tbh, Forrest hasn't exactly set the heather on fire this season so far. Who was this Charlie that Lenny moved into centre half SP,askin for a friendThese games should be a showcase for the fringe players, Shammy. As you state - it's how you are managed and applied that often makes the difference.
One of Lenny's finest moments in his first stint was the New Year game at the midden.
We were hammered wie injuries and suspensions, but Lenny moved Charlie into centre-half and played Sammy up top on his own.
Beyond his two goals, Sammy played one of the best examples ever seen of lone striking that day. He held the ball up and kept possession. He got in behind, won his aerial battles and took the ball for a walk.
I don't know if it was by luck or design, but Lenny discovered alchemy that day. He has to do something similar now.
Maybe him and big HartsonI know he did well by us, despite his sometimes embarrassing after match rants but would anyone think of Strach coming back in again......even doubling up with Lenny?
....Just for the 10....
Good call.......Is Sutton available....sounds like he too could get us over the line this year.......Imagine it....Suttie, Hartso and Lennin...its got to happen..Remember when Charlie playing for Aberdeen, stuck that phantom head butt, on the 'walk away Hun' Laugherty
Maybe him and big Hartson
