its correct if the company actually has that 20 %.. No work for us coming in = no 20 %William Hills confirmed to it's employees 80% and 20% one of my family works for them and they are in isolation. Situation will be reviewed again in May.

One oan it's soon SP wae someone.called Alex Rae? .....Think the bastarding virus is eating my brain, TGS
Unless you can find a contract that states if a player does not complete 38 domestic game and cup ties etc themn the money has to exist and thats the legal loop, the Government is compelled to conform to employment contract law, unless it uses special powers so this argument is dead in the water until the gov acts and brings in special powers neither Celtic nor Players can break their contract unless mutual agreement and this would release players and if Celtic pay their players from their kitty the players must declare this as taxable both Celtic and the player would be taxable on the same source NIC and Income tax.yeh u lost the plot there.
My argument is not now bad the virus is - is the fact that we are paying players for not working vast amounts of cash that doesnt exist
So now you cite "the facts", but you're op is still referring to unknown quantities.Dead Wrong
you have to look at this closely - and I have no idea what individuals earn at CP.
1. First of all the government furlough scheme pays 80% of your salary - their is no part of the scheme that says the company pays the remaining 20%. In my world this is a NO. My colleagues have been sent home with 80% salary - end of.
2. The max monthly payment from government is 2500 per month. So 30 K per year minus the tax and NI payments ( yes these havent been suspended). the majority of my collegues are on a lot less
so lets contrast between 1 and 2 above to say the top earner at Celtic on 40K per week who is definatlely on a legal scheme to reduce tax and clears 32K per week after accountants fees.
Hardly fair
That was not your argument in the first instance, its correct if the company actually has that 20 %.. No work for us coming in = no 20 %
Nah, the plot's solid, mate.yeh u lost the plot there.

The PR must have had no effect, look we are good cunts buy my top,Barca takin advantage of the Spanish version of the 80% scheme-Spanish correspondent on radio 5 live.
Logisitic nightmareIn the last 2 weeks 950,000 folk have applied for universal credit!
Economic forecasting, bank loan secure your players , cash in hand to secure the title and sustain the loan with future incomings assetts untouched and history intact. Resources equals credit line. The furrough payment to guarantee staff wages when they are sitting at home for the next few months is the correct thing to do. It gives them reassurance and they can stay at home and keep safe.
What now needs done, quickly, is an announcement on what the directors, players and coaching staff are doing for the same period. Ideally this should all have been announced at the same time but as long as it’s done, soon, then it’s the correct thing to do. I think Lenny has already said that player wages will be looked at this month and cuts likely.
The money the club has banked will be required to soften the blow for the next 12, 18, 24, who knows how many months, as the consequences of these unprecedented times will be felt for years to come.
Because Celtic as a company are a business and this is company law anything else will be charity.View attachment 8374
