Predictions for Season 2022-23

Very hard to make predictions in this mad football world especially with the amount of money involved, and with a board where ambition could still remain questionable.
Still way to overloaded with players that seem that there time is long up within the club, so hopefully they are moved on as I don't see the point of paying so much out on wages to get nothing in return.
Think a surprise could be young Welsh moving on also, among others.
Also believe that Ange may well look to having another option available to himself than the rigid 433 with only a change in personal available to him.
There has been a few times this season where we have looked a man light in midfield under the current formation, especially when it depends upon our full backs being very strong in possession of the football.
With such a vast difference in quality between the poorer teams within Scotland and European competition then I've always felt that a potential change in formation has to be taken into account in order to deal with better quality in opposition imo.
Could we change to a 3 man defensive line using wing backs as a potential change with a more specialised defensive midfielder playing in front of a back 3?
Regardless of what Ange decides, I still think we will have an even more successful next season than this one, which will bring about another treble and a decent European campaign imo.

Talking of money - see the Hun press are saying if the Sevco win the Uefa cup it will be worth £100m to them and instantly write off their debt. Dunno about their maths but it seems a bit ott. I think we need to invest in a team for europe and not just do enough to stay ahead of that lot because they might have some money to spend soon - and look at what the just enough mentality did to our 10.

Totally agree with that John. I'd like to see us getting the ball to the front man/men quicker. It was mentioned yesterday, Hearts were playing a high line and we needed to drop a ball in behind them now and again. With speedsters like Maeda and Kyogo we should be doing this more often.

Sorry....I missed that in my list of things that are guaranteed in life....taxes, deaths and penalties to sevco. Literally just checked the sky app to check my bet and saw the "penalty to rangers" pop up 🤣🤣🤣

The SFA have announced that deidco will be awarded at least 19 penalties next year, as they won't qualify for Europe without them.
"The penalties will also help Tav finally get his SPL "Top Goalscoringmarksman of the year" award which has so cruelly alluded him so far" a spokesperson might have been misquoted as saying.

Money always plays a part in today's game and especially among the mindset of supporters in general.
So even a call for a potential 10M player will also bring about the increase in wages that could upset the wages structure within the club, yet for most they would think that the money is readily available now.
This i believe makes Ange a special modern day manager when he is looking for the quality within the player and with the desire to succeed for the club before the money involved for the player in question.
I hope that mentality is kept and Ange is fully backed upon his judgement as he hasn't failed yet upon the players he's bought into the club to date imo, which is a remarkable achievement when you take into account the amount of new players he has already bought to the club

Let's give credit where it's due. Ange identified who he wanted. But we paid for them, meaning the board.

Sevco will struggle if their quota of penalties is being slashed to just 19 next season.

Next year we will see the introduction of VAR. To me the way it's been implemented in the EPL has been a disaster. Perfectly good goals being chalked off for someone's elbow being offside or a possible foul taken place that has nothing to do with how the goal was scored. Fans celebrate only for a 5minute inquest to take place then it's ruled out.
Ultimately the referee still has the final decision, and unlike Rugby we don't get to hear the conversation between him and the VAR ref.
Next season could be the last I watch.

Can't wait to here deidco moan about how VAR ruined their chances of winning the treble. The unseen Fenian hand of course.......
