Just read a piece on how Bobby Madden has been "demoted" by taking charge of an SPFL Championship Match this weekend.
That theory is a load of nonsense. Craig Thompson is taking the ICT v Morton game in the same League this weekend....
I worked for 6 years in Professional Football and these appointments are rotational. I dealt with the women who did them for all League inc Reserve, U18 etc,
The only way demotion would take place is if they set up a system to do so and frankly the Referee's Union would be dead against it.
