IMHO you will never see the Scotland or any other part of the UK cede from ' the union' it simply won't happen. I think you are probably right, what we are seeing is what would have happened if Scotland had voted to leave the union, it wouldn't have been allowed. again look at Catalonia, same thing there.

No deal brexit is what I want to happen, a really, really disastrous one, leaving Britain in turmoil. I believe it’ll be a massive step closer to Irish unity and Scotland breaking away.

No doubt that is what will eventually occur, the destruction of the BS united kingdom, a thing imagined via BS history tales and selective news by many as ancient, despite it being younger than the USA.

Except we already did with 26 counties of Ireland they ruled at the end of a cannon and noose as a integral part of the supposed united kingdom for around a century.

Every empire, every institution put upon people by force or superstition or unquestioning habit and always more for the benefit of a self chosen few, will eventually fade and vanish to nothing, and often completely self destruct from within.

The Roman empire ruled much of Britain for 500 years, the Norse near as many, the Normans near as long, yet none of these have any credible direct link to this latest branch of what is essentially a Germanic mafia family of immigrants imported in who created the notion of british, a modern enough identity concept.

The BS always unravels in the end, all these monarchies all these clubs from communism to fascism are BS when examined even a little closely, and will go like all because nature demands it, break apart and fade in time to nothing.
What follows who knows, but it's no big deal as in 21st century reality, the little island of Britain is no big deal anymore and nothing of it today suggests a singular island unity will ever occur again, let alone one that colonized and stole from others.


Agree with your main point about the corrupt anti democratic nature of the current lot who are a supposed 'royal family' and they do have many salaried schemers to invent and create all sorts from wars to famines.
but seriously! times are a changing, the days of widespread complete ignorance are gone, and their options severely limited in comparison to their colonial days of doing as they please and presenting it as 'great'.
