Sadness.

Look, ive come here tonight, after much thought, just to say how sad all todays events have made me feel. I'm sad about the result, I'm sad about how this season is going, but most of all, I'm sad about what ive witnessed tonight outside Celtic Park. I was not there, ive just seen what you've seen on social media. I can understand the feelings behind it. Most of those attending have probably grown up with us winning everything in sight. Like most of you, I remember when we weren't. I grew up in an age without the internet or its bastard offspring, social media. If we wern't at a game we had to wait till we got the high(or low) lights later on that night on the tv. We had to wait to see how bad it actually was (or wasn't) call it a cooling off period.
However, we are where we are and everything is instant now, images, streams, emotions. I was truly shock by the scenes outside Celtic Park tonight. I thought we were better than that. Although I really think the situation we all find ourselves in with the lockdown and restrictions are a major factor in what we witnessed tonight. Young people, starved of their normal activities with no outlet for their pent up frustrations venting their anger at the ones they love the most. I'm not clever or a psychologist but thats a thing people do isnt it.
Obviously the SMSM will make a huge deal of it, and i'm not saying it was right, but just imagine you're 20 something again, and maybe a wee bit fucking pissed off. You can't go out, you can't go to a game. All you can do watch it on TV from an empty stadium from a dodgy stream cos you've no job and cant afford a 'virtual' season ticket. These kids have had enough.

Now to the matter at hand. For quite a while now it has been obvious to me all is not well between the management and players. The body language, the interviews, the whole shit show we have all witnessed on the park tell a different story. There has been a building chasm between the get rid of Lenny's, get rid of Lawwells, get rid of Kennedy's and the keep it all togethers, and its going to clicks. Well i don't think it's going to click. A change is needed, and i mean soon. Whoever decides to take on the challenge will be a brave man, he's on a hiding to nothing, but the situation is NOT irretrievable. The league can still be won. IF we can get the right backroom team in. The players we have, have not become bad players overnight, obviously ALL players in every team, are having to deal with Covid like the rest of us. Ross County seem able to deal with it, so its not that. The lack of desire and miscommunication between our players is the stand out factor to me. We're not reading the same book, never mind being on the same page.
I cant see NFL riding this one out. Thank you for all your efforts Neil, and I have no idea whats gone wrong, but there is something. Its sad its ended this way. you have my gratitude and best wishes. HH.
Over to you DD.

Well said but still feel no excuse for what is being said these so called fans have done, being young with nothing to do is no excuse to throw stuff at our heroes. That being said I have seen nothing as I live in Australia now & tend to stay off most social media sites FB in particular. Did those fans actually throw stuff or is it just being speculated about?
Brim, the rest i totally agree with, things are not right in Paradise. Wish everyone well & hope all sorted soon.

Top Class mate, sums up my and I'm sure the many thousands of Celtic fans thoughts, well the ones that don't have an agenda against Neil that is.

👏👏👏

I wonder if they're letting neil do the Scottish cup final then goodbye, with a new manager straight after it.

I suppose, technically, neil is entitled to that final??

Absolutely not!! If that's the case then the board really are worse than useless. There are quite a few league matches between now and the Cup final. And the way we are playing just now, hearts would be full of confidence

Hes working to get us out the bad patch. The board are attacking the fans...as usual. They are quick with statements attacking our fans. Quiet any other time though. And for all the people reading the rags and statements about police officers being injured....have a look at some of the images of the police, batons raised waiting to attack our fans. Remember these are the bastards who love nothing more than having a go at our fans at any opportunity. Yes, our fans are angry and they should be allowed to let the board and team know. But please don't think that the police there last night tried at all to keep the fucking peace.

No one on here wants anything bad to happen to NL as a person. We just want a change of manager to save the season.

The percentage of fans who are happy to keep him as boss must be in single figures by now and shrinking by the minute.

The stubbornness of the board to ignore the enormous flashing neon warning signs that everyone else has seen, has only contributed to the slowly unfolding farce.

For Lennon not to resign is pathetic. For the board not to sack him is criminal.

But, for the fans outside Celtic Park to be throwing stones at the players cars and coaches and behaving like animals is the saddest thing to come out of this whole process.

😢

They might just dig in and let us little people know that they wont be dictated to.

I'm still 100% believe this season is going exactly how our board want it to go. They don't defend our club. They don't call out corruption. They have admitted it themselves that they have secret meeting with the ref association (regarding beaton). They stayed quiet in 2010. They stayed quite in 2012. They have stayed quiet ever since the formation of sevco. They have happily took the sky money due to the creation of sevco. They have shown that profit is more important than performance. They understand the importance of sevcos survival. They know the trouble sevco are in and the importance that they find millions of pounds from somewhere (title win and champ league money).

Police officers run at celtic fans batons raised. A fence got knocked over and hit some police officers. I've not seen a video of celtic fans attacking bus or cars. I've seen them shout abuse. Throwing missiles is out of order, if happened, but I wont believe the police, media or our fucking board that this has happened. If I see it with my own eyes ill condemn it.
