Scottish Cup Final, Celtic v Aberdeen, Hampden Park, Sat 24th May, 3pm KO

Nawrocki not even on the bench. The CB who has never faltered for us despite always having to come in from the cold. OK he can read a game and defend well and bring the ball out, but he isn't left footed and he is apparently too slow, even though it has never caused us any problems unlike other CBs who are quicker, and left footed - but do suffer from a brainfart on occasions.
Left sided = Crap. If you have 2 C B and. 1 is right footed and the other left then you have Luxury. How many teams in History has had that. If Nawrocky is slow then he shouldn’t be at ParkHead.

We seem to have 2 Celtic teams at the moment and you never know what one is turning up 😡
A fast flowing attacking team
or, a slow tippy tappy, lethargic team and I know what I’d rather watch.
Brendan, you’ve got all the preseason to get back to playing attacking football that is great to watch or keep us all bored with the tippy tappy stuff.

First I've mentioned the game it's been such a disappointment though if im honest not overly surprising.
I thought ( rightly or wrongly) there was an air of complacency in the lead up to this game more than I can ever remember surrounding a Celtic final , the talk about BR becoming the first manager to win 3trebles and we really need only turn up Aberdeen are so poor.

That Rodgers didn't bat away such talk instantly surprised me , Aberdeen being so poor didn't and our starting xi didn't but our substitutions certainly did.
It was far too early for idah to go off he's shown time and again he needs very little supply and gets it even less yet still bangs in 20goals , Engels going off was another head scratcher.

These games aren't about the performance it's the result and at 1 up there was always the possibility it would go the distance and we needed those most likely to score on the field so I lay that at Rodgers door.
I'm not overly critical , that side shouldve won.
Aberdeen were poor , really poor but they played to their strengths or lack of , and credit Jimmy Thelin for biting the bullet and parking the bus having seen what going toe to toe with us does he recognised that and changed it, that's what a manager should do.

If ever a single game showed that we really need Taylor to stay but it's likely too late that was it, he was brilliant on the day and it's laughable that he moved into midfield given the midfielders we have.

Very disappointing ending but we are the double champions , this side have been brilliant so it's difficult to criticise too much but for me there were bad omens in the run up.
We move on and hopefully will add some real quality while retaining the quality we have in the window, still a huge opportunity missed the type that don't come around very often though recently for us they are frequent , hopefully get the chance again but it shows how consistent we've been and how difficult to achieve trebles are.

The Media are useing Saturday,s result to hide the other lot behind, we lost a cup match they have lost thier team our bank balance is strong they are in debt and sinking fast they have to find 8 players with no cash to spend Celtic can attract players with a good wage .So who should be making headlines ?

If Kasper doesn’t chip the ball in the net or Maeda passes to Jamesie when through at the end we win the cup and instead of everybody talking about a crisis we would be raving about how great a side we are
And we are a great side for Scottish standards there's no question of that one of Europe's second tier sides who can mix it in the champions league with the big bhoys.
I just think the trebles we've won in such a short time , our European campaigns, getting stronger we have to understand that trebles are special special things that what we've done in recent seasons I.e quadreble are out of this world achievements and we have to give full backing to such a dominant side also doing well at cl level it's progress no question I'll be happy with the same standards from now on and that looks likely HH

Frimpong at “Liverpool “ to discuss terms thought he was Man,U bound don’t matter more cash to the coffers good business when it happens
Liverpool activated Frimpong's release clause over a week ago and he was delighted. He is the direct replacement for Terence Traent Darby Arnold who is heading to Real Madrid. He will be a perfect fit for Liverpool's style of play. And he already knows all of the words to You'll Never Walk Alone.

I'd take our share and use it to sign Lennon Miller. We might need to add in a few £million and/or a loan player to sweeten the deal

Despite the sheepies superb defensive tactics and their commitment to it they still rode their luck. Bar, post , Daizens sitter and big Kaspers gaff saved them. Couple of Celts off the boil and daydreaming at times particularly Cowan, Bernardo and Schluup. Yang trying too hard and big Cam and Scales too ponderous coming out and the one guy who tries to break the lines ( Nawrocki ) not even on the bench. Went on to Kerrydale street and it was like follow follow every Celt pish, Manager tactically inept, attitude stinking, need a wholesale clear out, need at least six new players. board must go but hey ! We're the greatest fans in the world - Rant over. I'm off to the transfer thread 😁

Even the best teams can lose a game. It hurts but don’t despair. Don’t ask for our squad and manager gone. That’s a gross over reaction. I’ve seen us lose before but we can bounce back and be stronger. We will do so because we are Celtic. We will hold our heads high and play to win. Bring on next season
