I thought it would be handy to have this thread available for the foreseeable.

Given the amount of different groups and every man/woman and their dug having something to say about our club these days with their versions of official statements......... or it could be Statement Fc the Spfl or the Sfa contributing to the fun and games.
We might even get the odd bit of an official statement now and again from our own world class supporter engagement Board.

Whatever it is and whoever its from please post it here .....i think Ive seen at least four already in the close season and pretty certain we will see plenty more in the weeks and months ahead....its a cert.

Ok noisers we all know the truth this board of ours and I say ours as we pay their bonuses. They are not fit for command of our club. Over many decades they have whether unwittingly or not have taken us to the abyss. Who in there right minds would bring back a 74 yr old manager. Please don't get me wrong MON has done us proud extremely proud God Bless him. But at his age I'm only sure of one thing he is a stop gap for this next season. The board are relying on MON to deliver
next season. What happens if he doesn't then I would then expect this board to collapse and sell up. The board have too realize this is not a game your playing with the support things eventually come to a head , I put this board on notice your days are numbered. We will eventually get new owners and then the Phoenix will rise again

Do Celtic see themselves as The Establishment club now?
Something Baby Doc said at the AGM about the critics of the current board and the Green Brigade, he said something like- they have an anti establishment agenda.
Does he see the current board as part of the “establishment”?

Every statement from within the corridors of power at the club is designed to push things down the road and when called out on things they tell us these things take time but basically it's just not the truth they don't seem to want change maybe because if people came in and done things in a timely professional manner then the current incumbents would be shown up for the rank amateurs they are.

Celtic Supporters Association have released the following statement

“The Celtic Supporters Association has watched with increasing alarm the current state of affairs at Celtic Football Club, particularly in relation to transfer business and the recent comments attributed to the CEO, Chairman and Manager at a recent meeting with our friends in the Association of Irish Celtic Supporters Clubs.

That this statement is being issued just two months after the heroic efforts of Martin O’Neill, his coaching staff and players in securing a League and Cup Double against the odds is barely believable. It is not something the Association does lightly or without considerable thought.

The current playing squad is clearly well short of what Celtic supporters, players and the management team demand if we are to compete on all fronts domestically and challenge at the highest level of European football, as should be the ambition at the beginning of every season.

Close to 60 days have now passed since we secured the league title against Hearts, yet the club has added only one player to the squad who was not here last season. This weekend, supporters also learned that those responsible for our transfer business have allowed two key components of that famous title winning side to leave, despite public comments from both the players themselves and the manager indicating a clear desire for them to remain at Celtic.

It is evident to supporters that responsibility for these failings lies with those tasked with concluding deals and strengthening the playing squad namely the executive team and the club’s major shareholder, Dermot Desmond.

Recent comments from CEO Michael Nicholson, in which he appeared to cite agents’ fees, the financial power of the English Premier League and Championship, and even living in Glasgow as reasons why Celtic struggles to complete transfer business in an orderly and timely fashion, only serve to reinforce supporters’ concerns. Rather than inspiring confidence, those remarks highlight an executive team that appears unable to overcome the challenges of the modern transfer market. That these were his most notable public comments since backing Wilfried Nancy in early January speaks for itself.

We also remain in the extraordinary position of having Brian Wilson acting as interim Chairman following the departure of Peter Lawwell, with no clarity over the long term leadership of the Board. Equally concerning is the continued absence of any move to appoint a Head of Football Operations following the dismissal of Paul Tisdale.

The continued silence surrounding almost every aspect of the football club remains a source of deep frustration for supporters. Too often, important developments affecting the club and playing squad emerge through players, agents or sections of the Scottish media, while official club communications instead focus on encouraging supporters to spend more money on merchandise, training wear, season tickets, pre season friendlies and Celtic TV subscriptions.

It is increasingly apparent that no meaningful lessons have been learned from the shambolic handling of last season. A campaign which saw the major shareholder publicly criticise the previous manager through club channels, four separate changes to the management team, the premature closure of the club’s AGM and yet another failure to conduct transfer business effectively ultimately resulted in our Champions League exit and left Celtic just ten minutes away from surrendering the league title to Heart of Midlothian.

The club continues to operate under a model that is clearly no longer fit for purpose in the football environment of 2026. The major shareholder’s grip over decision making is suffocating the club and leaves day to day operations in a continual state of uncertainty, with an executive team that, by its own admission, is unable to provide the manager with the best possible tools to succeed.

At a time when every supporter should be looking forward to a new season with hope and optimism, many instead face it with growing concern. Key players continue to attract interest, transfer business remains painfully slow and the squad is still well short of the quantity and quality required to achieve sustained success.

The Celtic Supporters Association has no desire to see a repeat of the supporter unrest witnessed last season. We want a united support behind the team and the manager as another campaign begins.

However, we cannot ignore what is becoming an all too familiar pattern of inaction, poor leadership and a failure to communicate openly with the people executive team that, by its own admission, is unable to provide the manager with the best possible tools to succeed.

At a time when every supporter should be looking forward to a new season with hope and who invest more in this football club than anyone else its supporters.”

Celtic Trust statement following CSA statement:

Like many Celtic fans, The Celtic Trust are concerned about the preparation for the season ahead and what appears to be yet another year without any strategic planning by those running the club.

In recent days, we have seen both Kelechi Iheanacho and Marcelo Sarrachi indicate they wanted to stay at the club. Indeed, Martin O’Neill had inferred he was “hopeful” of keeping Kelechi at the club. Despite this, our invisible CEO and CFO continue to fail in the transfer market.

With the season starting in just over 2 weeks and a Champions League Play Off just one month away, the current custodians of Celtic Football Club are, for another year, illustrating how inept they are at ensuring our team and manager are backed ahead of the start of the season. We appear to be following a familiar pattern of gambling; waiting to see whether we can beat inferior sides to reach the Champions League Group Stage before scrambling around in the guise of strategic first team investment on transfer deadline day.

The Celtic Trust re-iterates the call made by the Celtic Fans Collective last season for Michael Nicholson and Chris McKay to step down from their respective positions. Preparations for the season ahead have not differed from previous years so it is clear that lessons have not been learned.

Furthermore, we call on our now seven month Interim Chairman Brian Wilson to outline publicly to all Celtic fans the current direction of travel for our club. In recent months, boardroom changes, reform of fan engagement and a new direction have been promised. Despite this, none of the above is forthcoming. It is also worth noting that the Chairman refuses to meet with any recognised fan organisation about these developments despite the Collective repeatedly requesting updates in recent weeks.

We also call on all small shareholders to unite in pushing for change at boardroom level. With another AGM a few months away, it is imperative that small shareholders voice is heard and taken seriously by those running the club. The Trust will outline our plans for the AGM in the weeks ahead.

We also ask those with significant shareholdings - how long are you going to sit quietly while the Desmonds rule the club with a minority of shares? How long will you let your significant shareholding sit without properly pressurising the club through official channels to ensure corporate governance is improved? What will you do ensure all shareholders in Celtic (no matter how big or how small) have some level of importance and influence - as opposed to a minority Shareholders’ son micro-managing every aspect of our club?

We encourage all Celtic fans to continue to pressurise the Celtic Board: to back the Celtic Fans Collective and not relent - regardless of what the results of our opening games of the season may be. The issues at Celtic Football Club are structural and cannot continue to be glossed over by domestic success.
