That other team ,ower there

I haven’t used forums for quite a few years but thought I’d come back as I’ve deleted FB, Twitter and bluesky in the last couple of weeks.

Still trying to get used to it, mainly as the thread titles haven’t changed much in the week or so I’ve been on. Is it a case of amalgamation or are there not many new threads starting?
We are a fairly small community on here so not always a lot of new threads. They do tend to shoot off in tangents though so don't be surprised by that. It does make it easier to keep track of by having fewer users as something like KDS Is swamped with lots of posters.

Unfortunately the Celtic Blog and Video Celts (he can be ignored) are pissing off a lot of regulars as they spam us with links to everyone of their blogs, so activity is down a bit. Plus there is a bit of a lull just now as we are out of Europe and the league looks to be relatively certain.

It is always good to read a new perspective so get stuck in.

Welcome to the noise Mark.
Too bad we let them dictate play in the first half and some of our players looked as though they had played 120 minutes plus penalties, instead of them, too many mistakes from regulars and they took the three points, but your spot on when you say that's three games on the trot where they've scored 3 goals against us.
Don't know what happened at the end with the fans but no doubt the Hundits and Scottish media will have ammo for the next month about it.
CalMac was sorely missed but big Rocky was solid today, moreso than AJ who looked like he was carrying an injury
No excuses, they did what they had to, to win and I think wee Nick needs a rest and give Yang some minutes.
What can you say about Daizen, our best player week in and week out.
Reo was better in the second half and we now concentrate on getting this over the line.
Have a great week everyone

Celtic were fuckin rank rotten today so were the hunz,we gifted two goals through horrendous defending by all concerned,,we then get two back without any real effort,,right there is where you expect a guy way Brendan’s expertise to say right we’ve got outta jail here, there’s three or four minutes left aj has been floundering they’re bringing on a lethal goalscorer we will bring Tony no messing ralston on…nope!!! One goal kick five Celtic players one hun player bang 3-2….piss poor manager today!!khun and jota shoulda been swapping sides during the first half just to see if we could unsettle them but he done zero!!captain disappointed had a glorious day out in the east end made two goals which he wouldn’t have if daizen was on his wing?same with yilmaz..these cunts have pressed us the last three occasions and Brendan hasn’t found out how to sort it….its just aswell we have a great lead here because we look knackered all over the pitch….ccv looks like he’s carrying something as does aj…a know daizen scored a ton of goals recently but a club our size should have a proper number nine,,and not selling our talisman 3/4 way through the season regardless wether he wants away or not..hopefully todays a wake up for the whole club including they fuckwits up in the directors box,,stop being fuckin dictated to by the Scottish cabal and fuckin stand up for the guys that actually own the fuckin club that’s us the support ,Orange bastards shouldn’t have been anywhere near Parkhead today they assaulted members of our staff and players on the field,we give them 3/4 thousand,,,when we go to the dump we are getting around 800….wake the fuck up….

I love your posts so I hate having to write this 😂😂😂 but we will be getting roughly the same as rangers allocation wise at ibrox (4 percent so it will be more than 2 thousand) and actually better seats as that corner they get at parkhead is horrendous for restricted view so we actually have the better deal
Having away fans back is excellent in my eyes and makes the fixture the best in the uk
I was right beside the Huns today and obv I’m not a fan of the songbook but it’s much better than no away fans but everyone has different options
obv I would have enjoyed it more if we won right enough

Everybody has their opinion on whether they should be allowed into our stadium. I prefer to keep them out as they have proven that they are not to be trusted when it comes to pyros (see the flares at the end) throwing stuff (coins, batteries, glass bottles etc) why would you allow a drunk relative to be belligerent at your party ? Keep them out, we have enough of a great atmosphere with our support, we don't need to pander to them, the way our board seems to. In any other country in the world, their songbook would be banned, but not in the backwater of the SFA, I'm gutted that we lost today, AJ looked out on his feet in the first half, Tony Ralston should have come on, Jota looked to be coming onto a game as the first half progressed, they had 2 on him first half, he was pissed off, I think at our lack of movement, and almost scored a belter from 30 yards out, then he was hooked. Nick looked frustrated as they had 2 or 3 on him also, it was not a good watch first half. Second half when we pressed, I felt them start to crumble, foul constantly to break up our attacks, no cards until the 7th or 8th, and then they went down at the slightest touch, then it was waste time with cramp, we had them on the ropes and we switched off at the back, schoolboy defending with AJ on his arse, and 3 players allowing them a second crack at our goal, and it was over. Hopefully we don't lose any more points but that first half display concerns me as teams will press us high and play 5 in midfield, which we don't. Yes, CalMac and Paulo were missing, but these are the games which separate the men from the boys. And today, we were slow in getting things sorted. HH

I got a ' Fansided World Football ' article in my onefootball.com, Celtic feed saying 'many Celtic fans want Schluup gone' , haven't heard that myself and thought he's been good for us up til Sunday.
Hes not the first won't be the last ' big name ' to be caught out in this fixture.
Its not unusual to get all these 'articles ' from random unheard of sites when we lose which isn't very often even less so at home.
Every one and their dog who aren't of a Celtic persuasion enjoys putting the boot into us because it's not something that they get a chance to do usually.

This could well lead to bawwy and team getting the job over there and that's something I am not against.
He will want to clear out and replace with 'his vision' of a side and that costs money , will the 49s back him?
If they give him the job you'd think he'll get something to work with, so it'll be interesting to see what happens there.

Bawwy can bring in players but, his managerial record is not the greatest to say the least and idt they could really do more than offer a yearly rolling contract like we have done in the past.
His tactics have seen a regression in football reverting back to long balls , long throws and much more physicality than previously.
This might win him brownie points with the staunch for getting stuck in on derby day but those types of games are the bread and butter for many other top flight sides here and only winning points against us won't get them far if like this season they don't capitalise on it against the rest.

In this I'm for bawwy getting the gig, no doubt he'll bring in some more hatchet men types of players , that doesn't mean they'll adapt to the game here especially against opposition who play this way themselves.

A lot of ifs but and maybes , perhaps Souness can give them the benefit of his incredible footballing insight again and offer some more good advice.

On Jota, I get it he hasn't played a lot of football of late but he did look like he had more in the tank on Sunday and had more to give, I thought this of the Bayern game as well.
The manager knows his fitness levels best and may well be just managing his re-integration but he looks like he's pushing for his first full 90 minutes now.

I felt at the time the players let him down on the day, AJ looks like he needs a break, not everyone is Calmac and can maintain such high standards consistently without one.
Ralston is a good back up and he's here for exactly that reason, not subbing Ralston on for AJ and Idahs intro seemed to me to be the only wrong moves Rodgers made.
If you have a £9million striker (one of your signings) on the bench chasing a game it seems the right thing to do playing him but his forms been off needs a few goals and his confidence to return.

Us dropping points in the run in is a high probability but I can't see them not dropping points as well, they're really inconsistent.
Hearts (h), St Johnstone (a) , Kilmarnock (h) before we face St Johnstone at Hampden in the cup semis.
This is a good run of fixtures for us to get back on it for this run in.
Starting against Hearts who will look to mirror their cousins tactics no doubt, hopefully we hit them for 6 or more.
All we need from the league now is a short run of consistency to land the title, happier days ahead.

There is no denying that Schlupp was absolutely dogshite on Sunday. Unfortunately, he wasn't the only one. But I've seen many much better players than him have a howler, but that doesn't make them bad players. Schlupp has played well for us so far in every other game and he has a lot of experience, so I'd still continue with him starting in the LB role unless he stinks the place out again.

Our style of play does leave our defenders very exposed and the insistence on only playing the ball out from the back while under a high press from aggressive players being allowed to leave the boot in even if you've already passed the ball means it can become an extremely hard shift if one or two of the defenders is slightly off it. As it turns out, everyone around about him were worse than slightly off of it.

If he returns to the form leading up to this game then I would not hesitate in wanting him in the squad.

A really don’t see where the criticism of schlupp is coming from??he lost his player at the first goal,,but a helluva lot happened in the run up to that …like reo heading the ball two yards to a hun??jota totally shitting his pants in the same move,aj shitting it and giving them a corner when he coulda literally light up a cigar and walked the ball out…no cunt on the back post??for me schlupp, nawrocki and ccv to a point played well or the scoreline coulda read a lot worse…..for whatever reason Johnson from minute one was piss poor definitely wasn’t his usual robust self but he gets forgiven,,wee Luke was rushing everything that came near him,reo got blootered early that was his game over, khun is a scardy cat….and the tanned shiny toothed adonis standing in the dugout was in a coma for 90 minutes..allowing captain disappointed time to change into his smoking jacket and slippers to make two passes( that he’s never been able to do when daizens been on him)🤷‍♂️..that won them the match basically……so I’m in the schlup camp👍🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀

Hatate had a good second half and arguably motm imo.Shlupp and CCV were poor when in possession and mostly passed backwards.Big Nawrocki didn't do much wrong in his defending but again his distribution was poor imo!The full defence looked a nervous wreck and didnt settle throughout the game imo.Its this backwards pass shite and lack of movement that gets my back up.

It wasn't just the goals, Esp. Schlupp had a nightmare for a large period of the game looking flustered and making a number of mistakes. As did too many others. But I still think he is a good player, even if he had his first stinker for us, and would snap him up.

He ( Schluup) was roasted when it wasn't necessarily his fault for the back-pass to Schmeichel from the halfway line from our corner.
A bit of a rude awakening for him but he must understand that it wasn't directed solely at him it was collective disappointment reaching anger point that from a corner the ball ends up with our keeper seconds later.
Worth a lump back into the box? Probably, given that it's no more a hopeful cross than the corner was, our corners at times look like there's not much thought gone into our set pieces at Lennoxtown.
Still I've heard no-one say, or read of no posts on here or other Celtic sites ' Jeff gone' , the opposite if anything , we can all see there's a player there , hope it doesn't ( it shouldn't) stay with him, he's a seasoned pro, and he hopefully continues to bed into the side.
We will need him for what's to come.

Too much has been made of Calmac being out imo , yes he's the captain and brings so much to the side but he is still one player and its not Calmac who sits top of the table and going for the treble.
It was , as we've all said a bad day at the office, with just one more player on their game, say AJ or kuhn, can take your pick there, we'd have likely won that game.
We were really poor yet we still levelled the game with 10 minutes left to play.
Mordor game aside I cannot remember when last we were so poor all over the field, so many off their game.

Can we read much into the fact that the last two derbies have been dead rubbers?
The answer should be no , but actually it does look that way.
Deflation on being so close to ko-ing one of the tournament favourites.
There can be no excusing that but it does appear to me at least we've dropped our intensity levels since the well deserved draw but defeat on agg in Munich.
I suppose that can affect any side , to be ko'd in such desperately unfortunate circumstances at the imposing Allianz home of one of the worlds truly most succesful sides.
Last kick of the ball saved them from extra time.
As tough to take as it is , it could turn out to the best thing to happen to us if it lifts our game and we now see this title out emphatically..
AJ, ever since the back injury he sustained hasn't looked anything like the player he is leading me to believe that he could do with a break, it's pretty rare for us to be talking negatively about AJ so I expect that means he is ' human after all ' only part moose.

We never want to lose any derby, not ever but if it's to happen at all then it may as well be when it doesn't matter much in the grand scheme of the league table.
A table that we are 13pts clear at the top of with only 8 games / 24pts left to play for , we can really call that 14pts clear thanks to our gd being a huge +35 better off than them.
That's some stat btw, our gd is +69 to their +34, meaning we have double their gd plus 1.

Technically 14pts clear, and if we defeat Hearts ( h) , St Johnstone (a) and Kilmarnock (h) its another 9pts with a big (if )of course but these are great fixtures for us to get back on track with.
Win them all, and assuming they win theirs, Dundee (a) , Hibs (h), Aberdeen ( a) , hardly a given for them if the last win against us they had, the 3-0 game is anything to go by they aren't dead certs to take all 9pts from those ties.

Lets for talking sake say we both win 9pts /9pts it would mean that we sit still 13pts ( 14pts including a non catch-able gd) clear at top of the table.
13pts -14pts clear with 5 to- play, maximum of 15pts would mean that we would require 1 more victory.
That would have us looking at winning our first post split match to retain the title.
If both of us win these next 3 games I'd bet that the first game we play post break would be the last derby game at Mordor, but again I've a feeling they are the ones who will blink first drop points at Dens or Pittodrie , and hibs? Well the two latter have European ambitions and Dundee looking to avoid a relegation play off so not easy games.
I think they may drop points before we face them leading hopefully to another dead rubber when we come calling.

It's annoying to read of the delusions of many zombies, its no more than that though but they can write all they want the table doesn't lie , the trophy cabinet doesn't either and CL qualification doesn't either.
2 wins against us? In the same season?surely that deserves a trophy ? No oh well, the staunch will celebrate it as one anyway , let's hope we go there and win next time and see them ' share' that trophy, they're used to that anyway.

Edit : ooft , didn't realise my post had turned into a tome, so very well done if you perceveired to the end with my storytelling ( based in reality) I think? 🤭🤗

The season isn't over yet not with a reasonably long way to go to before the title is back at CP and, every club fighting for their positioning and the cash that goes with it.
It's not far from being settled though, just stick with what we've been doing well and everything else will fall into place , with us 16pts plus ahead in the race.

It's annoying to read of the delusions of many zombies but they can write all they want the table doesn't lie , the trophy cabinet doesn't either and CL qualification doesn't either.
2 wins against us , surely that deserves a trophy ? No oh well, the staunch will celebrate it as one anyway , let's hope we go there and win next time and see them ' share' that trophy, they're used to that anyway.

Edit : ooft , didn't realise my post had turned into a tome , well done if you perceveired to the end 🤭🤗
