Does anyone know about a new EU law that is due to be implemented soon?
There is a law in the pipeline that will punish tax avoiders and evaders.
The piece I read ( written in 2018) said that this was why Farage, Johnson et al were desperate to leave with or without a deal. The law, ATAD (anti tax avoidance directive) is already in force. However, member states have been given a "grace period" to put things in order. The UK's grace period, according to the article, is about to come to an end. Hence the rush to leave
on Halloween.

yes they have untill the 31st of october to declare all or any off shore accounts in tax havens if they don't the EU will print there details and enforce the Eu directive regarding tax havens and avoidance
That's about the jist of it but if you search wings over scotland you should find full details of the EU new tax law
