VAR will rectify ANY mistakes made by bias REFEREES ( Rangers shitting themselves, no more help from the ref ) THATS why they are not introducing the system in Scottish Football.

The SFA back this, because they like the referees, are ROTTEN TO THE CORE with religious bigotry that has lasted for years. One of their refs called the CELTIC SUPPORT.....FENIAN BASTARDS and got away with it.

Why doesn’t FIFA do something about this??? It’s perplexing and it would be nice to see this happen.

VAR and full time referees are not going to improve the refereeing. That, to me, is bullshit. How is making them full time going to make good referees out of idiot bigots? How would letting Beaton see the three assaults on video, if he had even bothered to look at them, have given him a better view when he was (certainly in the SB assault) right there with a perfect view of the incident. The only thing that will bring about better, unbiased refereeing is better, unbiased referees.

Because once refs become full time they will be required to abide by employment rules and appointing them will have to remove the discrimination, no more what school did you go to or what lodge is you or your father in.
You remove this or tribunals will have a field day, this is why guys like Fraser Wishart and the like are actually against the refs going full time, he made crappy statements on radio clyde about some of the refs have full time jobs already. This guy is a union man, he knows his wee cosy is coming to an end if someone flags discrimination up in an interview, the times thay are changing, don, t knock whats not in place, we should try it before criticising and evry catholic school leaver who is into sport and looking for a career should apply. .

remove the excuses :)

VAR will be corrupted by the SFA like they corrupt everything they are involved with .Do you seriously think the guy (probably Kenny Clark) watching the video in his SFA office won't make "honest mistakes " when needed

VAR is only as good and effective as those who will be using it . In reality it will be the match referee who has the final say , regardless of what the officials on the touchline think about any decision - he is the final arbiter .
Over to you Mr Beaton - do you think that Mr More-or-less should be sanctioned ? No ? On with the match then .

Don't they have contracts at the moment for their part-time pastime? They must have something which presumably would have grievance procedures and disciplinary procedures written into them. Clearly the disciplinary procedures are disregarded at the moment.

The plus side could be that, if the referees don't get offered more money (or not much more since they get paid quite a lot + expenses for refereeing every match as it is), maybe those with current jobs would not want to give up their current jobs and we could be rid of them.

The downside might be trying to get rid of the system behind the referees - Fleming, Clark and the like.
