The goal scored by Yang Hyun-jun against Partick Thistle was a strange one- barely celebrated by the Celtic support.
Firhill was bathed in sunshine for the League Cup tie, the away support were in fine voice with rebellion in the air as they protested against their board of directors.
For 25 minutes Celtic had been in and around the Thistle penalty box but had failed to find the net, it has been a pattern of matches this season.
That changed in the 26th minute. Seb Tounekti found Ben Nygren in space, a high cross from the bye-line was met at the back posy by Yang- and then things seemed to fall silent.
With a defender on the line from the Jackie Husband Stand and on TV it looked like the ball had gone the wrong side of the post.
The crowd quietened down, it seemed like a missed chance then everyone realised that Yang was being congratulated- 1-0 Celtic!
There was no doubting the goal scored by Liam Scales two minutes later, glancing in a front post header from a corner.
Celtic scored twice after the break as they booked their semi-final place but there was something strange about the opening goal that can’t quite be nailed down.
