It appears that Boro also offered more to his parent club (£2.5m rising to £5m with achievable add-ons rather than the £2m we offered), so there may be pressure from them as well.
I read his £14K/week would be £20K/week if bonuses were included - this is a stupid amount of money for clubs to be paying such inexperienced youngsters so no wonder so many Championship clubs are in financial trouble chasing the big bucks of the EPL! Mind you, I'd also say our £5K/week offer is far too high if you compare it to what people in the "real world" earn (but in the end that is irrelevant).
Wilder, another manager who brings exactly zero to football.Unattractive teams devoid of any appeal, slowly killing football these teams.'Boro also have Steve Gibson who has put millions into the club.
Funny how a few days ago when he was signing for us he was a waste of £2.5 / £ million quid and a squad player.
Now he's knocked us back he was a world beater who will go onto great things
It's actually a sad indictment of how far Scottish Football has fallen that we can't compete with lower league English Clubs.
What the clowns in the media and over at Follow Follow can't get their heads round is if we can be outbid so can they.
Good luck to the lad at Boro
I watched their last home game and it was half empty in the ground and dire (not just the atmosphere.
The football wasn't that great either
He might get a season in the EPL but Chris Wilders teams soon get sussed out
Interesting point, Bridie Bhoy, but I think there's more to it. Arzani was injured for a year -- knee I think, and never fully recovered. Arguably, Lennon didn't use Shved or Klimala to either of their full potential, which is unfortunate especially after Klimala bulked up in the offseason before shipping off to New York Red Bulls, where he did well last MLS season. So it's kind of a crapshoot, and it would be hard for the Aussie to break into the starting lineup, such as it is now. But it's worth considering whether he would have worked out or not, while he counts his money in the south. He could come to us and become the next Arzani, Shved, Klimala, etc or he might become the next Rogic, Winyama or VvD.
Personally Larry, I thought all three would fit in well into Ange's system. Arzani was sych a talented player and very unlucky doing his cruciate 20 minutes into his debut. Klimala was not used well by Lenny IMO and Shved never settled here (appears to have had a shit attitude but also left to rot in the stands whereas giving him a chance on the pitch would have helped him settle more).Interesting point, Bridie Bhoy, but I think there's more to it. The result was poor management of the club simple as that BB.Personally Larry, I thought all three would fit in well into Ange's system. I guess my point is that there are no guarantees that a youngster coming to Scotland would indeed break into our strong side and get a chance of big European matches and glory of contributing to trophy wins.
Agree with you about Klimala, he showed how keen he was to be here he not only bulked up in the Off-season he also learned the language. I don’t feel he was ever given a decent chance hereInteresting point, Bridie Bhoy, but I think there's more to it. Arzani was injured for a year -- knee I think, and never fully recovered. Was really disappointed with lennon over klimala there we got Rid of him just for the new gaffer to bring in similar type in geomakis but we canny win them allAgree with you about Klimala, he showed how keen he was to be here he not only bulked up in the Off-season he also learned the language. Think there might still be a decent player in Geomac. What game time he has had he has shown he is our best forward at taking the ball in and holding itWas really disappointed with lennon over klimala there we got Rid of him just for the new gaffer to bring in similar type in geomakis but we canny win them all

Oh so do I av not.wrote him aff was just saying we had that type on the books and lennon fucked the boy aboutThink there might still be a decent player in Geomac. What game time he has had he has shown he is our best forward at taking the ball in and holding it
Very true dill, and the likes we don't want to see again. That's another example of ego ruling the head
The Bhoy Klimala, did everything he could to fit in and show he was a player, but NL didn't give him a fair crack at the first team, and we all paid the price for one man's ego
Hope the Bhoy makes the most of his opportunity elsewhere
Heard somebody yesterday on the tranny saying they think mcarthy was lined up before ange was even appointed and wen u think about Wen the gaffer came in he needed numbers so he went along way it but I don't think he wid have opted for mccarthy especially on a 4 year deal he's not the most mobile but whoever sanctioned the 4 year deal for him shud be paying his wages out they're wages (DD) outwith the clubs bank account because he was brought in as a vanity project so he shud pay for him nit the club If u no wit I meanAs an aside, I would love to know who has been behind the majority of this years signings. Obviously Ange has been behind the Japanese player imports and DD for the likes of McCarthy, Scales and big Joe. but the other signings. Whoever it is, they have done a really good job for the most part. Look at the likes of Jota, CCV, Juranovic and Abada. All in one window with the likes Gio still to prove himself. Not a bad haul fro a club who apparently had no head of scouting. Only a couple of 'ordinary signings.
Agree 100%. Him and Starfelt and maybe Giomakis. Didn't anybody watch these guys before signing?Heard somebody yesterday on the tranny saying they think mcarthy was lined up before ange was even appointed and wen u think about Wen the gaffer came in he needed numbers so he went along way it but I don't think he wid have opted for mccarthy especially on a 4 year deal he's not the most mobile but whoever sanctioned the 4 year deal for him shud be paying his wages out they're wages (DD) outwith the clubs bank account because he was brought in as a vanity project so he shud pay for him nit the club If u no wit I mean
