So BR is trying to ‘engineer an exit’…who are the ‘insiders’ spouting this pish? He doesn’t have to engineer anything…complete the remaining year on his contract and that’s it. There is no ‘engineering’ involved. Do these cretins on the inside (assuming they even exist and aren’t entirely fictional) really believe the support will buy this horseshit?

Thought with the transfer window finally closed we could at least now focus on the fitbaw but naw...now we have Daizen coming out saying he wants to leave and board members briefing against their own manager to a hun loving hack who writes for the scummy Sun!

Well there's one sure-fire way to find out if the briefing against the manager thing is true or not....someone from the hierarchy breaks cover, sits in front of the assembled fan media and supporter representatives and answers their questions including that particular question.
While I trust NOTHING that appears in that toxic rag of a 'newspaper' Lawell and the board have previous for feeding stories to these people (even when they know fine well the SMSM are no friends of Celtic or our support) so time for them to front up and speak!

I’ve no problems with calling our custodians to account. I endorse your sentiment re the Board.
As well as many others, I gave the Celtic Board the benefit of the doubt, until there was no doubt. My goodwill towards our custodians has ended.
Where I have an alternate view is with the SMSM.
Most of them imo want to stoke the fire of rebellion. They know a full scale war between our Support and the Celtic Board will only end one way. With a fractured Celtic. And a fractured Celtic will not be a successful Celtic. And that is what every Hun and their acolytes in the media want. They want the Huns back on top. Of that I have no doubt.
The SMSM will of course in my view produce the occasional sound bite that suggests we are an entitled bunch. But they know full well by doing this, they will be further stoking the fire of resentment we have towards them, and also the Board, which will only exacerbate matters, and that is what they will want to achieve. Like most of those of the Hun variety, I find they are predictable. Just like they are on our message boards.
As I see it. Operation Destabilise Celtic is well under way.
What we need to do in my view is not to be provoked, or prompted, in to actions that will have an adverse affect on the team.
How we do this is for another post. I’m certain there is enough of us of a Celtic persuasion to accomplish this. If we have the collective will…

If that rag said it was Saturday I'd still double check just in case....that's how much I trust anything they print mate.
As for our 'custodians' their silence only leaves room for shit like this to thrive and their previous in this area points to the possibility of it being true so only they can clear this one up!
It's time for them to front up because if they don't then there's every possibility our entire season will get bogged down in this seemingly endless soap opera!

As I understand matters. Dermott Desmond has stayed just under the threshold of the amount of shares an entity can own without having to buy out the remaining shareholders.
A savvy move, as what he’s done is buy enough shares to be the majority shareholder, which basically allows him as things stand, to dictate matters.
It would take a coming together of enough of the other shareholders to oust him. Not likely to happen, as currently those with preferential shares (the larger shareholders) are getting circa a 6% annual return on the shares they have in our Club. This obviously includes Dermott Desmond.
When Hedge Funds invest in your company (Celtic PLC) you know they are thinking they are on to a good investment. They also have an eye on the day we move to a bigger league (European Super League perhaps)
If and when that happens, and I believe they think that day will eventually come, they will make a killing. As potentially will all the other share holders, especially the preferential share holders.

The same old arrogant shit being spouted by the board. And some of our fans buy into it. Essentially we have to stick to their way of running the club as the only other available business model is to replicate the suicidal overspending that killed Deadco FC. Ignore the fact that 99% of football clubs operate somewhere between these two opposing extremes.
UEFA rules also means we must only use this business model - that is strange as very few clubs the size of Celtic come out of nearly every transfer window with a negative nett spend. And buy selling our stars and replacing with young projects our outgoing players' salaries, then our wage bill is usually not increasing either.
I think most fans appreciate scouting and buying players is not simple. But we have an infrastructure and network of so-called experts in this supposedly working full time all year round. But compared to most other clubs, we are shambolic.
One of the biggest reason we fail to get key targets in early is due to the out of date snails pace we appear to operate under. Plus the ridiculous lowballing to such a ludicrous level that we offend the selling clubs and seem to have a crap reputation within the sport.
