Transfer Window - Summer 2025

I'd think Osmand is earmarked by BR as his Odsonne Edouard this time around. Young, 19 y.o., striker who will come in as third choice but will get opportunities like Eddy did. It wouldn't surprise me if Idah & Maeda are the two main strikers along with young Callum and Johnny Kenny either goes out on loan or is sold (probably the latter).
A new first choice striker will only be signed, imo, if we get offered silly money for Daizen, although with Jota injured, and Daizen needed wide left, then an older, experienced striker may be brought in to bolster the squad (Danny Ings on a free transfer? Or Jamie Vardy?)

Yer probably right about Johnny Kenny getting sold though I don't know why we bothered buying him in the first place as he's barely had a sniff. Let's hope we're not just entering into another Johnny Kenny scenario with Osmand otherwise we'd be as well just promoting a 3rd choice striker from within.

With regard to Jota being injured and using Daizen out left....I'd sooner see us buy another winger and keep Daizen up top. Idah (imo) has been an expensive mistake, I don't think he's got or will ever have the necessary quality to be Celtic's 1st choice striker.

As for selling Daizen....stupid money for me would be £35-40m as the £21m figure that's been bandied about the last couple of days doesn't even come close.

3rd winger we've been linked with today. Does Nicholson only do transfer negotiations one position at a time? Probably the most likely of the rumours and supposedly our signing priority this window
It seems no matter who we have in recruitment, we always seem to return back to the same players as we have been strongly linked with before. And rarely end up signing them anyway. It is either lazy scouting, lazy journalism or a mix of both.

I've had a look at this guy Balikwisha I'm not overly impressed to be honest and his time on the treatment table is a concern.
Balikwisha seems to be over his injuries, finished the season strongly and has a habit of scoring in the big games in Belgium. A pacy forward who can play anywhere across the front three is Brendan's ideal player.

Sunderland are ready to bid £10m for Lennon Miller. They've just sold Jobe Bellingham to Dortmund for £30m+ so have the cash to splash.
That'll be that then:(
We paid more for Arne. Surely if Miller is good enough for the EPL he’s good enough for us. And let’s remember his age…if he comes good they can sell him for a much bigger fee in a few years?

Just had the same thought process, although Arne was playing in the German league... And folk moaned about paying that for him... Cant see us paying that for Lennon atm although in a couple of seasons he will be well worth it imho.
