transfer window

I wonder, if it may be an opportune time to go for Lennon Miller. I know he has a broken foot. The chances are this will.put off competing English clubs for now. As injuries go, it is not one of the worse ones. It will heal, and with proper care he will be back soon enough. Lend him back to Motherwell then. Just a thought.
Totally agree POD. Get in just now and sign him while the smaller English clubs with bigger cheque books aren’t hovering around 👍

B Team Centre Half Lenny Agbaire apparently off to join Broony at Ayr United on loan deal until the end of the season.
Good move for him, we should be looking to get the majority of current B team out on loan. Lowland League isn't working, we're producing nothing close to being good enough for first team and can't even beat a Rangers B team that only play friendlies and occasional cup ties.

the Lowland league is terrible, no wonder youth players want to leave. We should bring back the reserve league, it only stopped because the original rangers couldn't afford it.

Talking to my nephew today who has a pal of Greig Taylor.
Says that Taylor knows the Tierney deal is already agreed apparently for the summer window and not this one.
Both BR and John Kennedy have asked Taylor to stay but despite being offered a big pay rise Taylor saying he does not want to be playing the Ralston back up role at Left back if KT coming back so looks like he will be moving elsewhere but more likely in the summer....

We should be trying to do a deal with Arsenal whereby they rip up KT's contract (saving around £2.5m in wages until June and something they were willing to do in the summer before he got injured at the Euros) and we pay KT that amount as a signing on fee to join this window.
That would allow Greg Taylor to leave and the transfer fee we would get, even going into the last 6 months of his contract, would pay a fair chunk of the KT signing on fee.

I hear what your saying Taylor is starting a family though and wants to stay in the UK so any fee will have to be from a club in the UK as he's not for moving elsewhere.
Who knows what negotiations are going on re KT but could still happen this window as you say.

If this does happen and Greg does move then it is mainly in order to continue playing first team football. It won't be for more medals or more money (he MAY manage that if he moves to a strong English Championship side). And that is very admirable.

He probably values more playing time than being a bit part of a trophy winning squad in which he hasn't contributed too much on the pitch.

That is fair enough to me. I would like him to stay, but for me it would be as a backup. He was excellent value for money as I said he would be and we can all be happy with his contributions to our success in the last few years.
