Apparently David Turnbull is being watched by AC Milan with a view to moving in January.....

"in the know" guy says... Probably pish then... 😱 😱

Let the silly season begin.....
wouldn’t surprise me if you goes somewhere like that on pre contract. He’s a decent midfielder and gets his share of goals and basically available for free.

Series A would be a good move for him. Style of play a little less frantic and a decent goal scoring midfielder could shine there. Like Lewis Ferguson currently doing very well at Bologna

Given what we have reverted back to in the transfer windows I'm gonna give this thread a miss as all it does is frustrate the life out of me with the maybees ayes maybees naws quality only to end up in the bargain basement projects.
Hopefully get Abada Maeda and Hatate back and sign a more than decent proven striker along with an experienced left back.

If I could re-sign player from the past 25-30 years, and have him in his prime, then for me it would be Lubo.

Henke would be the obvious one for most people, but with decent service Kyogo could do a job of filling those boots.

Would those domestic draws have been draws if we had a Lubo. Possibly but I doubt it.

If I was going to be greedy and take two. The other would be Broony or Wanyama.

So whilst we have other problem area those two are the key for me. Although the annoying thing is I think we have players on our books that could fill both roles. Iwata and Haksa.

Or even just Iwata and push CalMac forward.

Not great feedback on three of our summer signings. There are fit but not showing enough in training to even deserve a place in the matchday squad. Thankfully Scales has stepped up as it looks like we may have wasted big money (for us) on 2 CBs that so far are have returned nothing positive to us yet! 🤬

I thought Nawrocki looked good when he started the season as first choice. He looked the obvious Starfelt replacement, younger but potentially better. He was unlucky with the bad injury and has obviously struggled to get back.
Lagerbielke was bought as a back up, one for the future, but due to the CB injury crisis at the start of the season was thrown in and played every game, usually with a different partner, up to his red card in Rotterdam. Reminds me of when BR signed a young Jack Hendry as one for the future but had to play him a lot more than he intended due to injuries. Hendry wasn't ready and never recovered but has shown he's a decent CB since leaving.
Plenty of time for these two, Philips will go back to Liverpool in January so that'll reduce the CBs by one. Maybe playing three at the back in some games would allow more gametime for them and compensate for the fact we are struggling at full back.

I really hate it when managers bang on about what players are doing in training.
I realise that often the better the players do in training , the better they do on match days, but it's not always the case.

Tilio should enough against Motherwell to deserve another chance off the bench. But Rodgers didn't even put him on the bench.

Players can train badly but play well, and as we have seen others can train like superstars and play shite.

CELTIC are weighing up a January move for Aberdeen’s top scorer Bojan Miovski.

Brendan Rodgers has had the North Macedonia star watched in every domestic game this season.

But the Premiership leaders will have to stump up a record sum to land the striker from Pittodrie.

SunSport understands Dons will demand the highest-ever fee between two Scottish clubs.

They value Miovski, 24, at more than the £4.4million Celts paid Hibs for Scott Brown in 2007.

And while they accept Miovski will leave the Dons eventually, they are reluctant to lose him when the window opens.

Rodgers is an admirer of the hitman, who scored 18 goals last season and already has 11 to his name this term.

The Parkhead boss is desperate to bolster his attacking options for the second half of the season.

The Hoops boss could potentially lose Japan duo Kyogo Furuhashi and Daizen Maeda, plus South Korea’s Oh Hyeon-gyu, for a month during the Asian Cup over January and February.

Miovski fits the bill and Celtic have been scouting him intensely.

Rangers have also been keeping tabs on the prolific marksman, but it’s unlikely they would have the finances to take their interest further.

A number of English clubs are also tracking Miovski, a bargain £650,000 buy from MTK Budapest 18 months ago.

Southampton were keen in the summer and other admirers from the Championship have now joined the queue.

The 17-cap striker started North Macedonia’s 1-1 draw with England last month, winning the penalty that earned them their point.

Speaking in May, chief executive Alan Burrows said: ā€œWe are under no pressure to sell.

ā€œIf anybody wants to take our best assets away from us, particularly ones on long contracts, we are going to be very difficult to deal with.ā€

Would love to sign him mate I rate him as the best striker in Scotland (except kyogo) I would put in a 6 million bid and pay what he's worth....just the type of striker we need

That is excellent news. Yes, we'll have to pay a decent amount for him but I'd rather spend £5-6m on him and £30/K week wages than gamble more paying half of those figures on a young foreign project who so often doesn't make any impact for us.

He is a class player, excellent finisher, fits our style and has settled in Scotland and proven himself against the SPFL clubs, which form 80%+ of our games in a season.

I'm sure we could sweeten the deal by loaning them an outer-fringe player who doesn't get a look in for us, but could be a real star up at Pittodrie.

He's done well too in Europe against decent opposition this season scoring goals against hacken Helsinki paok and wouldn't put it past him scoring against Frankfurt next week and as you said he's settled in Scotland and knows the league ....just hope celtic pay Aberdeen what he's worth and we get him....I cant be arsed signing anymore unknown talent

Sounds like a good move he’s definitely got the magic!!don’t leave the dealing to pedro thošŸ’°

My only issue with signing strikers from the SPFL, is that they don't play against an 11 man defence every week at which ever club they come from.

So they can seem prolific scorers but come to us and struggle against the packed defences.

He’s a goalscorer given the service!!!it’s the ability to score that ā€œoneā€ chance we might get in a game?worth a punt…considering we probably won’t have a striker come January…pay the doh don’t fuck about like John mcginn crap…

Rather sign him than some plum from a mid table team in Poland or Sweden or someone from the Korean second division.....he tickets all the boxes with his age ...scores in Europe ...settled in Scotland and he's a good striker that's done great for aberdeen
