Looking forward to 31st of January then so we can get him 50p cheaper...CELTIC are weighing up a January move for Aberdeen’s top scorer Bojan Miovski.
Brendan Rodgers has had the North Macedonia star watched in every domestic game this season.
But the Premiership leaders will have to stump up a record sum to land the striker from Pittodrie.
SunSport understands Dons will demand the highest-ever fee between two Scottish clubs.
They value Miovski, 24, at more than the £4.4million Celts paid Hibs for Scott Brown in 2007.
And while they accept Miovski will leave the Dons eventually, they are reluctant to lose him when the window opens.
Rodgers is an admirer of the hitman, who scored 18 goals last season and already has 11 to his name this term.
The Parkhead boss is desperate to bolster his attacking options for the second half of the season.
The Hoops boss could potentially lose Japan duo Kyogo Furuhashi and Daizen Maeda, plus South Korea’s Oh Hyeon-gyu, for a month during the Asian Cup over January and February.
Miovski fits the bill and Celtic have been scouting him intensely.
Rangers have also been keeping tabs on the prolific marksman, but it’s unlikely they would have the finances to take their interest further.
A number of English clubs are also tracking Miovski, a bargain £650,000 buy from MTK Budapest 18 months ago.
Southampton were keen in the summer and other admirers from the Championship have now joined the queue.
The 17-cap striker started North Macedonia’s 1-1 draw with England last month, winning the penalty that earned them their point.
Speaking in May, chief executive Alan Burrows said: “We are under no pressure to sell.
“If anybody wants to take our best assets away from us, particularly ones on long contracts, we are going to be very difficult to deal with.”
That is excellent news. Yes, we'll have to pay a decent amount for him but I'd rather spend £5-6m on him and £30/K week wages than gamble more paying half of those figures on a young foreign project who so often doesn't make any impact for us.
He is a class player, excellent finisher, fits our style and has settled in Scotland and proven himself against the SPFL clubs, which form 80%+ of our games in a season.
I'm sure we could sweeten the deal by loaning them an outer-fringe player who doesn't get a look in for us, but could be a real star up at Pittodrie.
I think MJ would thrive at Aberdeen, in the same way as Niall McGinn did up here. But maybe MJ might be needed by us in the next 2 or 3 months due to injuries? We spent £850K on Kwon from the Korean 2nd division which looks to have been a bit of a waste of money, so I'd prefer to spend a little more on a more proven player.£3m + MJ…
MJ who is playing well for both club and country at the moment?Don't think so£3m + MJ…
Yes, there was uproar within their fans when they took those players on loan. But Scales ended up being a success up here and I suspect the fans will have softened their stance. There would be more complaints about them selling Miovski to us, but I think they all realise he will be sold to someone. It may even revive Duk's career at Aberdeen as it seems to have stalled from being very promising to him just becoming a bit-player due to the success of Miovski.Aberdeen probably not interested in taking any Celtic player on loan, there was an uproar from their support when they took Liam Scales, and Adam Montgomery before that. Any player as part of a potential deal would have to a permanent move. Not sure MJ would fit in at Aberdeen under Robson, he plays 5-4-1 or 5-3-2 without wingers.
Offer £4.5m for Miovski, a new record transfer between 2 Scottish teams, and a percentage of any subsequent transfer profit.
He could come in and hit the ground running in January when the likelihood is Kyogo, Maeda and Oh will be in Qatar for the Asia Cup.
I can happily live with that scenario (assuming the Dandies win, of course).Knowing our luck he will score a Hattrick in the league Cup final and his price will go up![]()
Kyogo does not get the service because some dickhead put him on or near the halfway line and wants him to continue to score at the same rate as previous seasons. Look at his face when he is playing. Not a happy mushroom."Given the service" is the question mark. Kyogo has had fuck all in the last few games.
He's worth a punt, but if he comes I think we should temper our expectations a bit until we see how he does in a crowded box.
Yes he certainly doesn't look like a Funghi just now.Kyogo does not get the service because some dickhead put him on or near the halfway line and wants him to continue to score at the same rate as previous seasons. Look at his face when he is playing. Not a happy mushroom.

Miovski has better scoring record, and is already doing it in our league. Far less of a gamble and probably at half the asking priceWe are being linked with Brøndby IF's 21 year old striker Mathias Kvistgaarden again. The Danish club rejected our €4m bid in the summer transfer window but it looks like we are sniffing about again. The fact that Brøndby are said to want €10m for him means that it is probably not going to go anywhere!
Below are the stats for his club career for Brøndby in the Superliga:

Nothing special looking to me, but stats only tell a small amount about a player. It would be a big gamble for us even at half of the amount they would like for him.

I really don’t see what he will bring to us, especially in the short term; this season and next. Seems a high valuation for someone with limited experience or achievements.
