What is meant by the ‘Gap’ ?

So Klopp says the ‘gap’ has closed. As JF articulates ..What does he know about Scottish football ?
What Gap is he talking about ?
7inaro, Double treble winners and regular champions league participants a team packed with internationalists a world class stadium and a very wealthy well run organisation with solid recurring revenues. That’s the standard! That’s the level of achievement and performance that’s needed to match and bridge a gap to Celtic
Some would have us believe securing a draw in the Derby or a narrow defeat or ludicrously a good 20 minutes of possession constitute closing the gap
It doesn’t. Neither will a victory when it comes ... Hamilton, St Johnstone , Hearts have all won recently .. no one even remotely talks about these clubs and gaps ...
Neither did a cup victory for Ross County
We all know the media and the Ibrox fans will go tonto when they finally get a victory and go ballistic were they to win a cup
Were the unthinkable even to happen and Celtic to screw up so badly that TRFC did a Leicester and win a one off title it would hurt and destroy the Celtic fans’ dreams of immortality but in of itself should not mean the gap has been closed
Celtic, as we all know , should be going for 20 plus titles in a row right now and without question are and have been the dominant force in Scottish football and heaven forbid a league title loss won’t actually change that dynamic in the grand scheme of things
We also all know the media et al will proclaim greatness ,gap closed ,open top buses etc will be the order of the day at ANY sign of success across the river BUT meantime In any 121 personal ‘arguments ‘ with TRFC fans , on phone ins, on Twitter , on public blogs or forums let’s all make sure that all interested parties ,pundits media opposition fans know the real nature of any gap and what has to be achieved to bridge it and it isn’t a draw, a one off victory or cup win . That’s for sure.

think aye heard a nail squealing ther as you smashed it rite on the head !

apart from his loan players,do you think Klopp could name three newco players? He was merely going through the motions at a press.

To be honest I don’t mind all the “gap closing” chat, and the giddyness that mob across the city get when the go on a run and beat Ayr Utd/Dundee or some other diddy team, because it just makes the slap down feel even sweeter when it eventually happens!!!! Come the new year game, they will be world beaters again, SLAP!

Anyone with half a brain up here can see the gap is huge.

The gap is as big as ever, those who didn’t see the game last week may think 1-0 suggests a close game but it was a rout on a par with the aggregate 9-0 hammering over the previous 2 games

4 times we hit the woodwork and the thug keeper should have been off with a penalty awarded, there should have been another penalty when Ajer was hauled to the deck at a corner

This could easily have been another 4 or 5 rout and this is when we were supposedly in turmoil. When we’ve gone to Ibrox and handed out another humping they’ll be right back in their box with the ‘going for 55’ pish abandoned for another year

I actually got a shiver down my spine at the idea of them having and open top bus parade through Glasgow. Can you think of anything worse. Thousands of the most grotesque, vile, poisonous people on the planet all in one place. It would be like Manchester × 1000. They are more angry and they would have "tarriers" to attack and "fenain" buildings to smash up. They wouldn't need to worry about pesky police trying to stop them as Scotland's finest would miss the whole thing and put the destruction down to drunk "Scottish football fans"

The gap in question clearly relates to the empty space between the ears of your every day delusional Hun
