When will we win the SPFL?

I fully expect us to canter the league next season, reason being, last year we were in turmoil, manager was late in the door, players were late in, and probably not his choices, took 4-6 weeks for ange to evaluate the team and the players to understand the system, he was wanting to play, by that time we were 9 points behind……that won’t happen this year,

Our rivals across the city are in disarray, no money despite the run to a European final, 4-5 players entering their last year of their contracts,,aw wanting away, Huns wanting “dembele dollars” for them, unreasonable prices scaring aff potential buyers, as we learned to our cost in the 10IAR season, keeping unsettled player does more harm than good….

We have got our transfer business done early, letting them bed in, aw ange signings, no high pressure champions league qualifying rounds while still in preseason, on the other hand the Huns have resigned the “dads army” that lost the league and so far have only bought a 17 year old millwall reserve player, will have the qualifying rounds to get through, lose them and GVB is under pressure from the start, a few poor results and the “loyal” hun will turn on him and his team,

I think GVB will be gome by Xmas, and the league will be wrapped up by, mid March 🏆

Next season will be very intense. We are going to progress in Europe, I feel a decent run coming on albeit possibly in the Europa League. That will add more games to the schedule.
I think it will be close up to the break for the World Cup, maybe even them ahead, but we will see it out in 2023. Champions again.

I would go as far as claiming the scum season could be as good as over when they fail yet again in the CL qualifying games.
Panic will really set in then when still no money and shit running there contracts down, so no real funds raised to invest within the team still.
Expecting a much bigger challenge from the hibbes and the sheep than any hun bastards next season

I take nothing for granted. I want to win every match and every trophy, but I know that it almost certainly will not happen. But it takes hard work to win so I personally find these sort of threads a bit disrespectful - if this was on Follow Follow we'd be mocking them for their arrogance. It is like when many of our fans starting singing about 10 in a row when we were only going for 6IAR - they took winning for granted and I'm sure some never fully appreciated it as much as they should have done. Just my opinion which I suspect will not be popular...

Your opinions spot on .Never again will i take winning leagues for granted.Im not interested in what goes on over at the bigotdome or what mess theyre in.Its what happens on the park that counts and the huns will be up for another battle no doubts about it.The signs are good at Celtic and if we improve on last season then we'll be just fine 😉

Only the proper and sensible outlook BB.
But it's great to be back in the driving seat again with the focus fully upon ourselves and what we do and nice to be able to look in the rear view mirror again at present.
To have a manager along with a squad of players that we can really appreciate already in such a short space of time will bring confidence within our support, but still wouldn't class us as complacent either.
Enjoying the success of last season still and looking forward to potentially much more success next season still, but we are all to aware that you can take nothing for granted within the football World still

Totally sensible approach Bridie and the correct one. Like us all I am really looking forward to the new season and like every year my great hope is first and foremost to win the title.
No one season is the same as the last and it is complete folly to boast we are gonna do this and that at a canter before a ball is even kicked.
It is natural to feel confident after success but arrogance has a very strong habit of coming back and giving you the kick up the backside you deserve.
No one has a crystal football and all it takes is god forbid a run of bad injuries and a serious doing in the CL to set us back.

If the covid season didn't teach us that anything can happen when you least expect it then nothing will. Cautious optimism and a realistic approach to the demands we will face with some European dreams thrown in will do for me.

I'm not bothered by this thread , confidence is no bad thing.
Ange wont allow the side to rest upon its laurels , weve heard that from him already when he said " the players can expect something different this season".
Exactly what he meant by that Idk but nothing will be taken for granted of that I'm certain.
We were written off by all and our own last season.
To write off old firm f.c would be stupid in the extreme, having reached the EL final and still that team remains.
It's true that they are the ones who have the wantaways and players running down contracts.
We will have to be on our game to win another title. It was christmas time and looking like we were close to needing snookers and they provided a collapse.
Must start as we mean to continue this time.
They will be well aware of their seasonal post Christmas collapses and determined to get that right.
I have every confidence in the manager, the backing hes receiving and our players mentality.
I will be even more confident when jota signs up as a Celtic player.
He was sensational last term and I look forward to seeing his lotus meditation celebration again this season.

When you take into consideration how comfortable we won the league last season in the end, and this with us being totally unprepared for the start of the season, having to deal with the injury crisis in the manner that it was, and throwing players straight into the heat of battle without any preparation time as such, then in theory next season title should already be won before a ball has even been kicked, on paper anyway.
With the strength in squad developing nicely to where we were a year ago should make the title a formality in theory.
Yet we have seen both sides of the coin over the past 2 years to all know complacency within football is never a good mix and thankfully we have a manager who knows that only to well also.
Looking so forward to each game that hopefully comes along, and enjoy hopefully all the success it brings along the way from the first game until the last one and don't see any other outlook either, as we all know anything can happen within the football World as such.
Maybe the board will be thinking the same and go " fuck it, it was a shit show last summer and we still won the league, let's just wait and see what loans are available on the last day of the transfer window"
That will make winning it a little harder

If we get to the stage where we have more points than any other team and there are not enough games left for any other team to amass more points than us (commonly known as mathematically impossible) then we will have won the league.

Thought you'd appreciate accuracy rather than guesswork Doc.
You need ti see a psychiatrist dise any unt ken yin whits up DOC (help me)

We will never win the SPFL. Unless we all meet up and some how manage to form a professional football club. Then we will have to climb up through the Scottish league system....I mean its not impossible I guess. But, IMO, I don't think we will ever win it. To many old folk on here. And Tony has got fat apparently. I've got a bad back and I think Shammy is to small to be a footballer in Scotland...you know, with all the hammer throwers we have in our league. It will be a cunt of a commute for Dill and Larry and yourself ofcourse. Never say never though.
In saying that...I hope Celtic wrap it up as soon as they possibly can.
Phew thought yir efter ma Boax

Maybe that was what we became use to with PL pulling the strings, but seen nothing yet to suggest that the same carry on is still in place.
The oppersite in fact at present.
We all know that there is always going to be a turnaround in players, yet we are still building to manage that situation far better than we have done so in many a long year imo.
Now as far as I'm concerned, when the board are prepared to invest properly within the squad and keeping the club in a financially strong position then there won't be any moaning for myself regarding them at present, weather I like or dislike certain members that currently sit within it

Football is 90 minutes of teamwork and I know that we can beat any team and be beaten by any team. Crossbars and posts get hit and there are defensive errors. That's what makes the game so unpredictable. Fine margins between success and failure. We need some luck and I have a feeling this could be a very lucky season. Predictions are guesses but a united band of players can defeat a team of great players. Enjoy the season ahead.

All the signs ( to me at least) appear to be that the board have gone in the opposite direction.
Deadwood out , quality in, and expensive at that.
Transfer business is being done at a rate of speed and cost ( that we can afford) I've never seen before.
Get the feeling that you were at the wind up there ?
