Absolutely, many seem to forget that, equal playing field ,no doubt we would be a force in the EPL,massive support, even south of border,!!!!hhYou are comparing apples and grapefruits ! If this team was in the EPL we would be being financed to the same level .If we had the finances that an Everton or a Newcastle had , plus the worldwide appeal that that would give the Celtic name , then we would be a force in that league .
You just can't compare the team we have in the SPFL with the team we COULD have in the EPL !
hahaha away to your bedIn my opinion this particular team would be relegated
Jinky, you maybe had one or two to many lol, hhhahaha away to your bed
I think the key to the question is “ This Celtic Team “ .. and who could actually argue against it on today’s performance.Jinky, you maybe had one or two to many lol,hh
Know what you are saying , if time taken to read what you actually said THIS team,!!!!! Not so sure would be relegated, but need to fight to stay in there !!!! but access to the money down their we would compete ,hhIn my opinion this particular team would be relegated
Suppose just trying to make comparison of sorts!hhIf you mean ''this team '' - maybe - but what is the point of such a comparison ???
Do we need to compare our present team to the EPL or the Spanish , German , Italian leagues teams ?
Why ? It serves no real purpose except .... what ?
This team wouldn’t be relegated as other teams would play open football against the weak jocks think under those circumstances. we would even with this team be mid table at worst.Suppose just trying to make comparison of sorts!hh
Most prob hhThis team wouldn’t be relegated as other teams would play open football against the weak jocks think under those circumstances. we would even with this team be mid table at worst.
HH ???????
If you mean by ‘business acumen ‘taking on massive debts to compete, LIKE the majority of teams in the EPL,and next one down, then that is the big question ain’t it ???? hhI think the key to the question is “ This Celtic Team “ .. and who could actually argue against it on today’s performance.
As a Club , with access to all the resources currently available in the EPL , then yes , competing at a very high end .. though whether we would have the business acumen to break into the top 4 might need further debate
Reading recently about the trial of Riu Pinto , the wikileaks guy of football, who is facing an extradition charge from Hungary to his native Portugal, is in possession of millions of files on Pan European corruption.. Man City .. PSG , Madrid etc .. this would also be a factor to be considered outwith the footballing aspect .
Of course it’s the big question ,If you mean by ‘business acumen ‘taking on massive debts to compete, LIKE the majority of teams in the EPL,and next one down, then that is the big question ain’t it ???? hh
Has anybody tried inviting some of them to Scotland?Of course it’s the big question ,
Thats the step up . Taking on the Glazers and their banking cartels , plus the Middle East billionaires and the oil money it a completely different game .
We have to ask the question , who out there amongst them might take us on , as I doubt very much DD might not fancy it .
I also think it’s a non starter , we will never be invited .
Yes the whole point of the big question!!!!!these teams are only keeping there heads above water because of massive debts ???ok ,they are able to ‘finance’this because the governing bodies have allowed it, wonder how they would manage if all this jiggery pockery was banned and had to operate under normal or even’legal’ conditions ???hhOf course it’s the big question ,

I don’t understand all the !!!! , and ???? .Yes the whole point of the big question!!!!!these teams are only keeping there heads above water because of massive debts ???ok ,they are able to ‘finance’this because the governing bodies have allowed it, wonder how they would manage if all this jiggery pockery was banned and had to operate under normal or even’legal’ conditions ???hh
You have just made my point ‘legal’means to operate ,hhI don’t understand all the !!!! , and ???? .
As I said , this is the step up . The financial game , the corruption game ... are we up to it , are we up for it ?
Check out Rui Pinto , if you haven’t already , he’s being silenced because he has huge amounts of information on the corruption at highest levels . He is attempting to expose all this , they are trying to imprison him and silence him . Most likely they will . It’s up to normal football supporters to try and stop them .
I know a guy Billionaire name CW wealth oaf the Radar. But seriously we have a turnover £100 million. In a wee backwater, if we played in the wealthiest league in the World. The money from TV would have real wealth falling over itself remember PL had a deal in the Mid East a few years back. With the fan base we have and our Irish/Scottish heritage to play on in England alone we would thrive. But it’s all a pipe dream they don’t want Celtic there as we would be chasing the top spots in little or time at all. Just a thought but give us the same cash as the rest we would keep our best players and would have kept all the ones we lost. To the big money.Of course it’s the big question ,
