Needed a jiner today, I went to shut the lavvy door in work and it ended up hanging on the top hinge. Joiner came and fixed it and now it won't shut properly. Great! Cannae get the tradesmen these days

Do you get an equivalent of Poitín in Scotland? Obviously it's crude and unaged but the well made stuff is good on occasion when you can't get decent whiskey 'intercepted' between the distillery and revenue bonding.

I live near enough by St. Augustine (oldest continuous white habitation in the US) and there is a winery and distillery next door to each other. They trade bourbon barrels (which have a legal limit on their use) and port barrels. The bourbon aged in a port barrel is nice but the port aged in a bourbon barrel is my favorite.

Not one for starting an argument on a Friday night....... But ......
I like my single malt, particularly a 15yr old Glenlivet. I, in my wisdom, advocate that it should be drunk at room temp like a good red wine and that anyone who disagrees is wrong.

Like you I'm a single malt guy and i must have been a good boy cos my advent calendar has a different malt each day.(no ice or water)
