John Dowie was unequivocally the worst player I ever witnessed at Parkhead
He was signed by Jock Stein from Fulham in 1977 and released by Billy McNeill in 1979 A midfielder who was occasionally used as a left back It should be noted that his time at Celtic was a rather barren period for the Club

He was signed on a 'S Form' by Rangers but did not make the grade

He was the uncle of current Dumbarton Captain Andy Dowie who funnily enough
played for Rangers making 1 league appearance before going to Partick Thistle

More recently Rafael Scheidt gave me nightmares on the few occasions I witnessed him play

Olivier Tebilly is another who I don't remember with any particular fondness but on the whole John Dowie deserves my ignominious vote for the worst player I have seen play for the HOOPS HH?
