Why has lennon not been sacked yet

Howe will probably end up at Newcastle he's odds on favourite for that job.
I don't think it will be a question of him picking Newcastle over us it's simply that we are dithering again.
There were reports that he was golfing with PL months ago.
Since then we've sat in our hands as we got knocked out of Europe, knocked out the cup and lost 10 in a row.

We've still not made a move, same as we routinely lose players because we don't want to spend the money or wait too long.
We were told £1 million and the lad would be on the way up from Charlton
But we thought we could get him on the cheap with a pre season contract.
Same with the lad from Peterbourgh, dithered and tried to get him on the cheap.

Scott Brown will end up as manager because he will be cheap and the only one available.
PL thinks he's the master at brinksmanship, the master poker player. It's just as well he wasn't in Casino Royale or it would have been the longest movie in history.

Casino Lawwell

"The name's Lawwell. Peter Lawwell. Football Agent Double-O-67. License to have a frost-free driveway no matter how cold a winter we have".

He'd try to stick on 12 at Blackjack. He'd ask Pussy Galore if she had a cheaper, less gorgeous cousin! He'd rather challenge Brassfinger!

When I heard lennon saying he wont walk away , hes "put too much into this" it did get me thinking this is about money. I dont blame anyone who doesn't want to walk from a dream job and a £2 million plus salary, I wouldnt want to give that up either. I would think Lennon isnt short of money but still it's a lot to ask of someone, walk away from all of that. It's not reasonable to expect him to do that, hed have to be mad. He doesnt have any other club looking for his services this time so where would he go except down like the last time and he wont want to repeat that. It's a futile exercise asking him to do that, the decision isnt his to make and he will remain in the job as long as it's up to him. The questions asked of Lennon are wasted on him , they are for the board and no one else.

Then winter it raises the question of just how much he really claims to love celtic then?
If he is putting money before what's best for the club then how can he really expect to hold on to this legend status we have placed upon him?
If money and a pay off is his main intention for hanging on while failing so badly at present, all the while he can be hardly short of money, but sorry to me then that is just a greedy bastard

Without a shadow of a doubt he will never get another high profile managerial position like this one. So I can kind of see why he wouldn’t want to give it up. I don’t think it’s for money really. He’s just in denial that it’s coming to an end. Somewhere in his psyche he must know that it is though.
I wish he would just accept it and go. At least that way he leaves with some dignity and the respect of the support. If he is forced out it will be a lot more ignominious ending and that respect will be gone for many.
For heavens sake Neil face reality and get it over with. If you don’t act Lawwell will be forced to eventually.

As a manager I no longer see what he has to offer.
There have been countless mistakes by him only, where the blame and excuses just don't wash any more, so why and how he still remains in his position is just beyond me.
There again nothing has made any sense this season

Agree mate. It’s truly mind-boggling that he has been allowed to continue for this long. Shit performances, the same drivel rolled out as excuses time after time, little sign of improvement after months of I’m the man to fix this. Just mind-boggling.

Although I just saw an article wherein according to McAvennie it is about the money. I don’t know how much credence to give his opinion but if it's truly the case then Lennon is just another greedy Lawwell type bastard and can GTF and the sooner the better.

It annoys me that when he's being interviewed and asked about various issues, his answers are 'I don't know'. He also bums up the team at times when we know they have been crap. If he thinks that boosts their confidence it ain't working.

I would argue that he lost the teams confidence after the first couple of games when he threw them under the bus.
It didn't work for the squeaky door last year and it hasn't worked for Lennon thus year.

If money's the issue then surely it's cheaper to get rid of him and pay him off than it is to see out his contract.

I read that it would cost us £300K to pay off Lenny. I don't know how true that is but if it gives us the best chance for getting a head start for next season then surely we have to pay this, even during this tough financial year?
