So we've no games for near a month Nov-December when the pitches are still normally in half-decent condition. The closest thing to a Winter break will be Jan 7-14th. The majority of the grass pitches will be pure potato fields for the rest of the season. Would it not have made more sense to have a regular winter break then extend the season into May in the hope of somewhat reasonable playing conditions? Scottish football authorities obviously care nothing for player welfare and I fear we will see a lot of injuries in 2023.
