Stokes was another one that was causing bother that Brendan hinched. Martin O'Neill was quoted one time as saying that stokes was the laziest player he had ever encountered in football. I think the problem started with commons when Ronnie told him to lose two stone and banned chips in the canteen!

You want a funny stat?

Gerrard has as many points as Pedro had at this point last year.

You want another funny stat?

If Gerrard wants to keep up with Caixinha, he has to get 13 out of the next 15 points. Otherwise he is off the pace.

Maybe that's what they mean by Going for 55. I guess they mean points. In that case, they're slightly above their target so far. Well done, Stevie G.

The superficial glamour around one of the two men may well be the tempting odour that attracts so many flies to the new man.The fact he is a UK footballing talent rather than bullshighter from Catholic Portugal may even be a factor. Also, he does seem to be able to get through a reasonably tough Europa qualifiers. The Pedro was too busy talking about caravans and barking in the bushes after getting done over by a team that really had no quality to progress.

It's just my opinion, and Commons did score a lot of goals for us, but I'd have big Tommy every time.

I agree, he was a good player overall for us, not a great but a good player, but he believed his own hype...how can he say his farewell to us by coming onto the park and taking his bows and the gratuitous applause and thanks from us,then talk shit about us...f commons and f Walker...money is their god
