Brendan resisted the temptation...

He will definitely start against that mob and probably Thursday night. Today he certainly wasn't missed in the line up, that was a brilliant performance. Has he lost his starting position? Maybe. I certainly expected to see him start this afternoon but like I said yesterday it will be interesting to see how this month pans out, starting next weekend at Hibs. Interesting times.

Im still amused/perturbed that scott is still being discussed.

Calmac is attacking but can move the ball quicker cause he picks it up further than SB.

SB was not to blame the other night so constant talk of hoping he won’t play due to the pace of the youngsters is great for them but unfair on broony given the fact thst now this is all the media are banging on about now.

C’mon we know the score BR will call the team he see’s fit to play and will have an idea of the differences in pace/experience that he thinks is required.

Lets not give people unworthy of Broony’s service to us any right to comment for what he has done for Celtic far out-weighs anything the smsm has ever done for Celtic.

I appreciate that its a forum so whilst i don’t want to stifle opinion this is just how i see it

"SB was not to blame the other night,"
SB helped set our goal up the other night, just saying like, good to have a team and a manager who knows how to manage and keep a squad happy.

Broony is a legend and of course still a vital player, it’s a good time for the Celtic midfield in knowing we now have players that have stepped up to the mark and can control games without the guidance and experience of Broony. It’s most likely a weight off Broonys and Brendan’s shoulders knowing the team can keep the standards going when Broony is injured and regaining his fitness. I only see big positives for all the Celtic midfielders of recent times.

Everyone assumes Broony should start at Mordor but I'm starting to wonder... Dynamo Govan are not much better than Hearts or Killie and less physical than half the teams in the league.

Perhaps we should just play our own game with the three musketeers in the centre and then bring Broony on to shore it up when we've done the damage. There are more than a few important games before that, however...

It's not a question of whether Broony is finished or not, he clearly is not. It's more a question of whether he fits into the system the manager is using. Like Maria said, talk of Broony hanging the boots up only serves the purpose of those who pray for that day to come around. Horses for courses 'n aw rat know!

When the chips are down brendan and the team up a gear.this must be so frustrating for any team that hits the dizzy heights at the top of the league. I for one lost a slipper the other night when motherwell grabbed that late goal I cursed everyone and everything. I should've had a bit more faith. I'm over the moon with that performance today proud of every player.by the way that ref had a shocker I'm getting use to it as long as we can bang in 4 clear goals every match we r safe hh.

Thank phurq we know have replacements for when the guy steps down, but the youngsters will not retire their captain just yet, somethings don't come easily, you train as an apprentice with the master craftsman you learn the tricks of the trade, a wee bit more learning to be taking from the craftsam.
