Time for a clear out? Who needs to go?

No point saying who's out unless you know who you want in.

Out:
De Vries, Toljan, Gamboa, Boyata, Kompper, Izaguire
Bitton, Hayes, Allan, Kouassi, Mulumbu, benyu, calvin miller

In:
Lewis Ferguson(Aye really), Birger Meling, Robert Gumny , Scott McKenna, Benkovic(2nd season loan)

Also if we did need a striker push the boat out and get Divock Origi. Perfect striker to play as a one on point. Loan him if we can't buy him, just get him in
I agree with Meling and Gumny although I have sot seen much of Gumny, buy want NOTHING to do with McKenna (even at the £500k that I think he might be worth to somebody ) or Ferguson.

We certainly have a huge pile up of below par squad players. And our wages bill is ridiculous carrying them. The fact not one club, to our knowledge has enquiried about them is testament to why we desperately need a new manager who can spot a player.

I agree with the point made about Lennon regarding Hooper. I mean, if that is the stretch of his response to our lack of goals, we are well and truly fucked. Similarly with extending Sinclair’s contract, unless the hope is to sell him, because we simply cannot justify his wages if they are as high as the £30k reported.

To offer big Lustig an extension smacks of sentimentality too. The big man just hasn’t the legs and his passing has deteriorated to the hit and hope level mostly.

It remains to be seen if either of the young Americans can step up, but, we can’t go again with players we know can’t cut it anymore, no matter how great they once where.

The most important signing will be a manager. Hopefully, the next one won’t do a Rogers and bring in a raft of players who are shite. I hear that he isn’t in charge of recruitment at Leicester, as he is clearly bollocks at it.

It also tells a story, that after nearly three years and only three of the team playing on Sunday were signed by Rogers. That tells me everything about the cunts ability to find a player.

One who looks as if he could walk into the team he let stay in Ukraine. He should have sent 80% of his signings there and took Shved.

Big job ahead and with the right man we can burst the Sevco deluded balloon.

That man is not Neil. I wish it was, but when did wishful thinking ever make anything better?

Morgan comes back better. Shved comes back. Johnson gets loaned out to a gym to build him up. Koussi too should be loaned out. I would keep him just now.

I agree with Sutton, at the end of the game the one light still burning was that this would put a fire under the arses of our board. If that display and lack of quality back up to KT, Christie and no other being able to a play instead of Lustig, Johnson and Burke starting, then nothing will.

Just get it fuckibg done Celtic. As usual you wait until things are up to the wire and massive changes are needed instead of a continuous incremental progression.

The fact that we are, tells me our board are a fucking hesitant, complacent, risk averse joke.

Well, that repeating of old traditions has put 10 and even 9 under greater threat, that is abject failure of both Rogers and the board.

They, Lawell and Desmond can redeem themselves and decide continuous improvement is a better strategy than hoping and praying, which is patently fucking useless.

Completely agree with all of that TV1 :
Many supporters have been saying something similar for the last 18 months or so , when it was evident that the management/Board were sitting on our laurels , expecting Sevco to just implode leaving us King of the Castle .
They did the same when Sevco were on their ' journey' back from oblivion - it took the defeat in the Scottish Cup Semi to give the Board a shake !

Picking the correct coach is absolutely paramount , as it was when BR came in . We wouldn't have accepted Lenny then , nor should we now . He has had his time as coach here ( Thank You , Lenny ) - we need a different level of coaching /tactics/ thinking to take us on .

What do ye mean "I dare ya"? I don't need to be dared by anyone to give my opinion on anything. I've already gave my opinion on what I think of the management situation. It just fuckin annoys me when armchair critics who have probably never coached a sports team of any description in their lives come up with nonsense opinions without thinkin it through. The lets fuckin sack everyone brigade. If things aren't working out, rather than try to figure out how to fix it, we'll just road everyone and buy a new squad. And before you ask, I have and do coach many team sports at different ages and believe me, it's a lot easier said than done. So i dare you back, come up with a solution to what you would do with what we have rather than giving them the road. That's proper coaching.......
I think you'll find, apart from Lustig (who I put a question mark next to as theres maybe another season in him, and Sinclair, most of the players iv'e listed are fringe players at best Compper is a wage thief and Benyu? Izzy has hinted himself he wants to try MLS to be nearer home. Hayes is not Celtic class in my eyes, Weah's already away Toljan and Burke are loans going back too, so hows it half the fucking squad?

I have to say from reading this that it's pretty obvious that most Celtic fans know what to do with the squad at present. However, we can't get rid of every one, it's going to be a very very interesting summer.
The new manager has to build a team around these players:
Bain
Ayer
McGregor
Forrest
Edward

The rest that I would keep:
Brown
Tierney*
Šimunović*
Griffiths*
Sinclair
Hayes
Christie (very close to the group above)
Rogic*
Ntcham*

That gives us 14 players that are proven... but with 5 players * with question marks over fitness and personality.

If not on my list I would allow to leave or be sold. Big Summer.

I'd go with most of them but think 1 or 2 from that lot might want a move.
If you look at the whole squad we've 33 players and another 8 on loan.

Where did I say half the squad? But you mentioned thirteen players. Celtic have a squad of roughly thirty players and you seem to think if we road thirteen of them it will make us better??? As for the Hayes comment about him not being Celtic quality, then you musn't think much of the rest of the team when he has been our best performer in recent times. I suspect a hint of football snobbery there. In my eyes, if you perform well on a consistent basis then you're Celtic class as you put. Incidentally, what do you consider constitutes Celtic class? Do you not think we should nail down a manager first before we can even consider what our squad should be like? Remember back to the end of Ronnie deilas time, brown was on the verge of retiring, then Rodgers revitalised him. My point being, a new manager can change players.

Hayes has filled in for Tierney but is no where near his level. Why have the goals dried up? Especially from crosses on the left or from Sinclair/Tierney combination. He batters most of his crosses over the heads of everyone most of the time, look again at Sunday, and hows he been the best player? That just your opinion. And as I said most of the others mentioned are on their way out or would never get picked by anyone in a month of Sundays.

Nae proper strikers Brim need a natural goal scorer.Hopefully Griff comes back firin but who knows

There are a few that need to move on regardless of what Rodgers did the bulk of the team are from the Diela era and we need to get some fresh impetus in the first team putting injuries aside what we have watched for most of the season wasn't great football and a lot of the times laboured in trying to break teams down

that's another reason why you're being hard on Hayes. You've just said he has bee filling in for Tierney, which is not his position and yet he was Celtics best player on sunday(although that wouldn't be hard). And yes, it's my opinion, but I have read on here from many posters, claiming the same thing. He had the highest assist rate in the spl the year before he signed for us and was also in the last three for player of the year. And if you are speaking of opinions, then it is your opinion that he is not Celtic class. Which to me is football snobbery akin only to people who follow the over hyped English premier league. That's the sort of stuff as Celtic supporters we have to listen to on a regular basis. We'll have to agree to disagree, but I feel that even if Hayes scores a hatrick in the Scottish cup final you still won't think he's good enough.

As usual, irrespective of who we lose or offload, most of our new signings will no doubt be brought in 15 minutes before the transfer window slams shut, despite our season beginning 7 weeks earlier on July 9th!!! I'd prefer better forward planning this season and get some decent signings in for pre-season training.
