Famous Historical Quotes

“no one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” was a quote by Eleanor Roosevelt and I use it often as a therapist. So many people that I treat and who feel inferior are quick to blame others or their history or or their culture or whatever other reason they come up with. They do not realise that they must have consented.
I reckon that quote is the single most powerful quotation of the 20th century. That is why we must never sit at the back of the bus.
That is why we must never accept being told that we are inferior.
I can turn that single line into a 30 minute therapy session to empower people to know that they no longer need to feel inferior.

lovin yer modesty Doc,knew a guy who said jimmy page was pish cos he took 7 1/2 minutes to play stairway to to heaven, ah can play in 6 minutes said the "guy"

"The jerseys doesn't shrink to fit inferior players"

The greatest boss in history. But my favourite quote is this, by one of the greatest men ever:

"That's what's so special about them right up there, Jim, that's what's so special about them. They're there and they're always there and God bless every one of them"

For a quote to have meaning, it must contain the maxim of truth. When Tommy Burns said that about us - he meant it with every fibre in his being.

"I'm a wee rat bastard and I've always wanted to play for a wee rat bastard club. When that wee rat bastard phoned my rat bastard agent, I chewed my own ratty tail off just for a bag of rat silver"

THE wee rat bastard (1989)

Not sure if that was the exact quote word for word, but that's the exact meaning.
