Bridgeton is mixed believe it or not. The secondary school in Bridgeton was demolished and the poor wee huns now attend the catholic school, the times thay are a changing as a wise man once said.

Saint Mungo Academy a school open to all, a school like no other.
The mission, which lasted from 1831 before petering out in 1886, provided food for the poor but blazing rows flared over what became known as ‘souperism’ — the practice of providing food only to those willing to convert.
