Server issue. Could be a load of reasons like the hosts doing backups for example. Doubt it was anything like a ddos server attack. Couldn't have had anything to do with traffic so most likely something to do with maintenance or issues on the server side.
We don't have to pay for this privilege so an odd wee outtage isn't too untolerable.
