while playing for Motherwell against Dundee Utd at Fir Park..

So,sad, I remember the day well, felt truly empty inside, totally shocked, a young fit man dying on a football field, heart breaking for his wife and young family……

I too remember, it was heartbreaking and we were all devastated.

Can I too mention that my eldest daughters life long friends husband suddenly passed away in the presence of his two young children, they were due to go on holiday the following day.
It really puts all into perspective.

Sad day that was always liked Phil a quite unassuming fella and a cracking footballer shame his stint at Celtic he was prone to injury but he did turn in some great performances in the hoops
