If you haven't yet watched Peaky Blinders; turn ye back for here be spoilers.
This week we were introduced to the Billy Boys, a heavily-armed, Fascist Glasgow gang with close ties to the UVF. They will be the enemy of The Shelbys and by extention the enemies of all fans of The Peaky Blinders. Such opportune timing that they would be introduced to a worldwide audience on this of all weeks and how interesting will be the results of google searches for 'The Billy Boys' by those many fans around the world. The can of worms has been opened and there is no wriggle room.
It should prove to be an interesting story as Tommy has had dealings with the IRA and killed members of both the IRA and UVF in the past. I think it was last season where they sent people to safety in Glasgow where the Peakys had links to 'Catholic gangs'. Peaky Blinders has always had an undercurrent of social and historical commentary and it seems the bigoted bedfellows loyalism and fascism are in the cross hairs this time.
It will be interesting to see how closely art imitates life in this case as we watch the impending doom of The Billy Boys.

Will there be a friendly bank, a Don in a wheelchair, non payment of taxes, three expensive Norwegians that cannae shoot ( Tor, Andre and Flo for the uninitiated) and flute and sash ??
if so, I might just watch and see if it ends up in tears.

Don't think we'll get a conclusion to the 'Billy Boys' storyline this series PMM, creator Steven Knight has said that the Shelbys'/Peaky Blinders will not head north to Glasgow this series but will be in the next so it looks like we'll probably have to wait a while to see how this one plays out.

Looking likely that the Peaky Blinders will employ the help of their 'Catholic' allies in Glasgow to deal with the 'Billy Boys'.

Peaky Blinders started in 2013 and they're going to last at least one more season. I'd say two more is a conservative estimate. As such they might last more seasons than Sevco. Be some craic if the only place you heard mention of 'The Billy Boys' was as they were being eliminated on a BBC, of all places, drama.....while the tumbleweeds blow through the barren wastes of Ibrox.

Knight has said he'd like to do 2 more seasons after this one and possibly a film......said the story will be brought full circle as it started with the 3 Shelby brothers returning from World War 1 and will end with the breakout of World War 2.

So plenty of time in between for the Sevvies to be sharing a plot with their previous incarnation
