Two comprehensive away wins achieved largely without the ball has set up the second part of the season perfectly. It was a very different approach to Rodgers’ death by possession. That's a great article thank you. Personally I think we'll do far better in Europe under Lenny, he's a more pragmatic manager than BR. Thinking that our team could go out and keep possession against the likes of Barcelona and PSG was folly and we deserved the pumpings. I'm not saying we'll go out and beat teams of that calibre now but I belive we will be more flexible and adapt our style of play to suit the opposition we're up against . We seen that on Sunday, i think we only had 40% possession but we out played them and beat them.

This season for me it looks like lennon has given the team more freedom to create, it seems he has asked players not only to be more direct but to try and beat the first man more often to create spaces.

I wonder how many of the passes under Rodgers were from one centre half to another with no opposition player in the vicinity.

There are fewer of those now.
