Kilmarnock v Celtic match thread

Almost every team we play in this league teams sit in you would think we should know how to play against this by now
........................

The reality is we did.....when previously we went with 2 up front we created so many chances and pulled defences all over the place.....We had so much movement off the ball.....now we’ve gone back to square ball after square ball.....which gives defences too much time to adjust to what’s happening.....we need to get back to what works against most of these teams.....a performance we need to learn from.....as there was so much lacking in every department...

Spot on. It seems that NL thinks elyounoussi is like maradona and Messi combined and is changing the shape to fit him in regardless of how average he is - eg league Cup final versus huns. I really hope he comes to his senses on that one 😬

Teams know that our defence, doesn't like the physical stuff and that needs to be sorted
A big no nonsense centre half, and a bustling, physical centre forward, required
As for the plastic pitch, FFS gie's a break
They're paid a ton of money, and it's the same for every team, player etc. it's not ideal for football, but you deal with it
How many of us played on ash pitches, or red blaze pitches as kids ?
Plastic pitches are like playing on a carpet, you get to the ball before it bounces, otherwise it's all over the place
It's not rocket surgery
Fucking dire to watch ten men behind the ball, but that's how teams play us at times, we have to find a way to break through
That is all

Never Celtic class Andy ,big bruiser but doesnt offer much in my opinion.
I see what your saying Tony but we had Scotlands most skilful players out there today and they couldn't even get a shot on target from open play. Also its not a surprise - it happens regularly at tight away grounds. A team of skilful short arses always struggle against eleven big neds on a narrow pitch. That's why we have to change tactics now and again and just go long and send in cross after cross. That's why we need someone like Cosgrove. I think it could make a difference 😬
